Some feedback about CJ from Sam Mitchell.

When asked who his favourite players to coach were he said "the guys who always know the right thing to do and the right place to be".

Interestingly he said that Ginivan was probably the best at that at the Hawks.

On the flip side, he said you also get players who are the opposite. Think they know the game inside out and the right things to do, and unfortunately they are the most outspoken in meetings. However they have no idea. He said "not naming any names.... CJ"
really? seems an odd thing to say

How are players like Wilson, Charleston Hogg and others in the VFL not tried before we recruit the same type players.. Someone said they were going after some forward from Brisbane who is playing VFL.Didnt they have a guy called McMahon that was kicking as many goals as that guy but were too conservative to give him a go on the list

As if he hasn't done himself enough mischief in the past with his 'non-football' related injuries, he picks one of the most dangerous countries in the world to go 'chill'.
Hopefully he's somewhere that starts with Cabo or Cancun. They're a bit like a Spanish speaking Gold Coast. The rest though...........................

Is Ison only guaranteed if the bid comes after pick 40?

Have a bad feeling he could be bid on earlier than we’d like
No, that rule changed a few years ago.

With the new rules (that have just come in this year), we would be hoping he’s not bid on until 37.
At that point, you don’t need points to match a bid, you just use your next pick to match.

Not sure it's great form from a coach to be airing that out to people outside the club

I wonder, if there were no names, did he point or wink at CJ or was it played out in a way that you have no doubt he meant him? What was the context thet led you to believe he was talking CJ?

Have it on good authority that this is a chance. Hawks happy to let him go.
It's was mentioned over a month ago (can't remember which Journo - but it wasn't that incompetent, late to the party, wannabe McClure), but seems to have resurfaced.
