Name a contracted superstar traded that’s on Charlie’s level?Name me a star traded for a star???
GW seeing that headline:
That is what happens at every club. A star player wants out and gets traded for picks and maybe an up and coming player. Carlton aren’t the exception to the ruleWe aren’t trading Charlie for a bundle of picks. If it’s not involving top tier players there won’t be a deal.
NopeI agree with that.
I'm really hoping that GW takes the lead role through trade week and just says to Austin,"Just sit back and watch how it's done."

It’s not about level. It’s a top tier player wanting out.Name a contracted superstar traded that’s on Charlie’s level?
Nek minnit, slotted in a forward pocketCome to Carlton. We're so bad, you can play where you want!

I just don't think that there is much likelihood that we get a star at the end of trading Curnow.
Worse, it's more likely than is safe that Curnow would have a negative effect on the team next year.
He's gone. We are going to get the best deal we can by playing the teams off each other.
We might get just picks this year, but use those picks to land a big star next year.
Multiple year futures trading introduces a whole new way of getting value out of these situations
Nope.Nope
Hope they nut it out together with the rest of LM team.
That’s what should happen
Can’t believe some of you
Happy to trade Charlie for a bunch of picks and/or some best 22 players but not ‘stars’.
We’d be a laughing stock if we did that.
Thank goodness GW and crew don’t think like that
If we don’t receive a superstar in return then this deal is off. Maybe it involves a 3 club trade for it to happen. But a bunch of crappy picks and a young boom or bust player is just never happening under GW watch. Some of you have been brain washed by Brad Lloyd’s work for near on a decade.
GW rates king highlyThe more I think about it, the more I think a Curnow King swap makes sense for us especially if Walter and Read are required players as reported.![]()
True, he’s not a free agent so no amount if farms and Cotton On deals (unchecked by the AFL of course) can get this over the line unless they offer up what Charlie is really worthThere's too much of a chasm between what we would require in a Curnow trade and what we get offered. No chance the Cats could get it done.
Josh Kennedy.Which superstar did WCE get for Judd?
Which superstar is GWS get for Cameron?
I’m Carlton’s world it’s …………..
Look, Charlie is as sharp as a brick, but if he is still on the list next year, he’ll be playing and to his full capacity. No amount of credibility damage to potential suitors is worth such petulance. It’s time for a big shake up. Happy for the club to take Charlie over breach of his contract if he is in fact refusing to play for us again. Get him off our books and de-registered till end of 29. I’d rather get nothing for him than be rail-roaded.
And f$!. Geelong, they’ll probably offer us a Cam Guthrie and another hack /done player for him anyway.
The smart money would be on nothing happening and it all being forgotten by the first day of pre season.True, he’s not a free agent so no amount if farms and Cotton On deals (unchecked by the AFL of course) can get this over the line unless they offer up what Charlie is really worth
Judd and Cameron were out of contract!
Gulden is from Sydney. You’re thinking of Warner from WA.Will get to Sydney imo and the deal in the end will be hayward and Gulden.
Gulden will ask to be in the trade he was a Carlton supporter before being Sydney it not like Sydney is his home WA is so imo being a supporter previously will help him get to carlton plus he is paid handsomely already I think like 1.3 but will done in a background nothing getting leaked between Sydney, Carlton and his management it has happened before so don't be surprised plus I think that's a fair deal

It is but I believe my first question I posed to you was “name a star player traded for a star player”? You failed to answer the first questionName the contracted superstar that’s been traded? Simple question.
