Steven May has already done the most he ever could for the Carlton Football Club by activating Super Frankie.

But, he's close to the end, a complete distraction and only valuable to a club so close to a premiership that they can afford to risk him.

Saints will pay him a million

I am a winner on May.

I reckon Weitering would be too!

TA

I was at the game that May knocked Weiters out.

When May knocked out Frankie it was what immediately came to mind. Not the first Carlton player who he'd knocked out.

May is exactly what our team needs. Brutal strength and mongrel. David Rhys Jones style.

TA

If he wasn't cooked I'd agree. But it's 2026 next year, not 2021-2023.

May may end up at Collingwood or Geelong cause those teams are in a Premiership window ... although remains to be seen whether Coll'd are still thereabouts in 2026..? I'm guessing 4-5th

If Geelong are interested then I'd be taking another look ... cause they tick the boxes with mature age talent.
Carlton can strengthen up defence whilst focusing on other areas ... then get back to upgrading defence late in 2026.

Does Charlie for Rowell and Flanders seem fair?

That's a big boost to our midfield brigade (add in Jagga too).

Can a forward line of Harry, Kemp (Guv as an interim measure)?), Moir, maybe a resting ruck + Mots and Frankie get it done?
Well unders. Throw in Anderson, Walter, Wil Powell, Charlie Ballard, Lombard, Uhwland, and 2 firsts this year and 2 firsts next year and that's still not enough.

Am I doing the delusion right?

So you saying they still have more $ somewhere?

First club to pay 10 players 90% of the cap and rookie money to everyone else

Although the focus won't be defence ... Voss really needs to cover his backside ... cause leaking Goals in 2026 will end up costing him a contract renewal.

With losing TDK and relying on Pitto .. and with our forward line up in the air ... we live in shaky times at Carlton.
12th won't cut it Vossy ... trust me

Edit: Tommy
No one fears Carlton these Days ... and for good reason. No Tough Guys ... too easy.
Collingwood have a couple who can easily put you in Hospital or end your career.
Carlton are no match for Collingwood ... in toughness or skill. I'm not happy bout that.
All I can do is sit back and hope they don't win their 17th Premiership and take the lead.
Last thing we need is Pie fans bragging about being the best ...

They just paid Windhager 3.5m over 4 years.
If this doesn't work out for them, which I don't think it will, St.Kilda is going to be royally screwed,

If I would be Voss I'd be in an opposite camp to this thinking. I'd rather have expectations low on our outcome for 2025, because if we don't have Curnow, TDK, Jack and an enourmous amount of youth the bar on what internally and externally the expectations for us will be much lower.

If the club acquiesces to asks from the coaches to bring in ready made experience then they're telegraphing we're in or close to the window, so any outcome that relates to us missing out on and just making the 8 may not cut any form of extension being offered.

I'm in the camp that next season should be Voss' last, for him to even get offered an extension I want to see what he can accomplish with youth, new coaches and change in the air all round. Sure recruit a few mid 20 year olds to fill the breach, players who can be with us 5+ years, but Melbourne even with the talent they still have in their list and a new coach (who might get some immediate success) don't even want a bar of him.
