I’m not sure how many times I or others can say the same thing.

Geelong had to satisfy the Giants in a trade, otherwise Cameron would have needed to stay or go in to the draft.

The same rules that apply to every other out of contract player who isn’t a free agent.
I don't think he would be able to nominate for the draft. As far as I am aware if the original club matches the contract then that contract becomes binding. He either plays or is traded.

Watch next yr when a geelong or Collingwood take him and he kills it
And all the clueless people on here say he's to old or bad for culture, meanwhile the geelongs and Collingwoods keep being successful even with players like that are on there lists

Some clubs are able to take on culture risks more easily than others.

It wouldn't shock me to see him have a great year at a top club.

But if he doesn't then it's not going to make or break their year.

If he came across and faltered it'd damage us significantly more than it would them.

No that's not true. The player can definitely nominate for the draft.

Agreed - think we probably need to get our own culture and standards in good shape before we start looking at some of the ‘higher risk’ types.

Usually wouldnt mind the idea of May.. but I just don't see him, Weitering and Liam Jones in the same backline..

Id hazard a guess that what you think is a good offer for Charlie and what the club think a good offer for Charlie is, dont match either.
Possibly also going to be some here also surprised that we are going to play it tough with negotiations be surprised if Wright crumbles and not walk away with a decent deal.

Also sends a strong statement to players under contract that they cannot walk when it suits them

May doesn't have mongrel. There's a difference between being disciplined unrelenting and tough (mongrel) and a fat alcoholic brute with no training standards.
Totally unfair..
He does have training standards..

😂

It’s because your question is irrelevant without first answering mine.

Contracted gun key forwards don’t get traded.

This is a unique situation, so comparing to previous situations where players are traded for picks isn’t really helpful.

This is a unique situation, as it appears said contracted gun key forward, seemingly doesn't have much interest at all in playing for this club any longer.

lt is actually irrelevant what Charlie wants, he has 4 years on a contract, unless Carlton receives a exceptional offer he will have to suck it up and stay like others have done in the past, won't be the 1st player nor the last to have to go back to their club under the circumstances.
