I think he’ll have learned he needs to jump into Andrews in either contesting the ball or marking it.

Those little bumps on Andrews do create a spill or a mark. Just got to do that early and discredit Andrew’s ability
Hope you're right. His contest late in the last Brisbane game where he brought it to ground and sent out forward for a show involvement shows he can do it. It's still a big hill to climb

Which is exactly what they would say if he wasn't playing

I heard a seemingly honest interview with their Club guy today, he said Neale's worked massively, hyperbaric every day and all that, and amazed their Doctors. He said they feel he's a good chance but it's not until training on Tuesday that they will really know more.

TBH I'm more interested in the news coming out of our Club about Henry.
We know two D's down would be diabolical, and a question mark on Stanley. Can we cope?
Will have to smash their mids and Scotty to slightly alter the previous rabbit out of his his hat (tactically)

Man I hope so but I have a bridge to sell anyone that believes whatever we are putting out about injuries, let alone about injuries in grand final week.

If Kolo was match fit we could get away without risking an injured player but I think we are going to have to roll the dice for at least one of them, probably both, this time.

Not like Knevitt or Bews are going to move the needle for us here and to me it is almost impossible to pick anyone else at this stage given how long ago the VFL finished up.
I hear you, but the Henry nerve stuff is every chance of being legit.

I don't care if it's a prelim final, they're not sending him back out there with his history if it's a major issue that could've been aggravated.

The guy is one bad moment away from being Matthew Egan. Scott just wouldn't do it, it's never been his nature.

Can we put Dangerfield through a hyperbaric chamber for a day or two or if an abundance of caution?

Remember in year 1 of his captaincy when people doubted his leadership capabilities? In reality our team was just unfit and broken that year, and we needed some new players to emerge.

Everything we've seen and heard about him suggests he's been a bloody good captain. The players having fun is a big one. Maybe a bit different to Joel feeling the burden through some of those "almost seasons" 2013-2021.

Some of his stuff with Baz has been fantastic. You can tell how much he loves and respects Danger, it's more than just football to him

He's like the older brother he never got - and needs.

If he's in any way hampered he becomes inefficient (to his standards) you could see that, after he aggravated it.
He couldn't track and attack Gunston with his usual balance. One sub, no excuses. Gotta pray he's good to go.

If the story is true, he was essentially playing with a dead leg there for a while, so it's no surprise that he went giraffe on skates mode.

That said, they're not permanent, and it's a heck of a lot better than re-aggravating the issues he's had. If we're being legit, he should be okay right now.

We'll probably know by tomorrow's training regardless.

Tossers on SEN arguing that Concussion rule time should be individually set, dependant on recovery. So 3 days if you appear okay. 12 if not.
This is exactly what used to happen in the Dinosaur days, when Clubs had control, and why CTE is now such a vital and horrible issue. Medical science is wonderful, but essentially the brain is a mystery, we are still dependant on players reporting symptoms during the recovery process. It would be all to easy to under report those issues.

I'm really sorry Tom, but we would rather you remember your kids names in your forties, than add more silverware to your name.
Agree, there's also the legal liability down the track to consider. A no brainer (woops pun not intended)

It’s tempting but I have also heard it can be pretty harmful with overuse

Toxicity. Don't even think about it- for complex medical issues only.
In the USA they have many deaths per year with home (mis) users of oxygen, because their environment (lounge chair) has caught fire while they doze.

I’d say that’s laughable. Definitely a nerve hit to the foot. A knock to the knee doesn’t make your foot totally go limp. Just uneducated garbage.
There's actually a nerve in the knee that does exactly this.

Missed Jezza kicking 9 against the Eagles last year in ER. Had inflammation and fluid buildup in the knee that cut off a nerve that made my foot go numb.
