Re: 'Alleged' rumours resurfacing ...

Folks, this is the way things are here.

Posters are responsible for what they post. Moderators can not attest to the accuracy or otherwise of any rumour posted.

Moderators will intervene for a couple of reasons.

1. If a thread is threatening to be derailed because of a post.

2. If invested parties request the removal of material.

None of this draws a conclusion as to the accuracy or otherwise of the original post.

There is no need to further speculate. What will be will be.

Also, you need to remember that this thread like all parts of this forum is bound by the rules of poster conduct. If you want to express skepticism towards a rumour that's fine, but having a crack at posters who are contributors to this forum is simply not on and will be acted upon.

Simply put, don't be a dick.

Thanks all!

As per the Bluemour File OP, this is a thread for discussing Carlton related rumours.
Rumour - Bluemour File rumours only - NO DISCUSSION

Rumour posters should post their rumours in both threads for those that like just to read rumours and for those that like to have get lost in their rumour files.

Remember ... #Bluemour

Cripps saying last night how he’s great mates with Charlie and he’s got his back etc etc but surely, as captain, he has to be pissed off about all this nonsense.
I mean, it’s not contract negotiation time for Charles. Get mad and lay it down Crippa!
I get the impression Crippa is one of those Super nice Guys who hasn't got a mean bone in his body.

Carlton definitely needs Mongrel for some balance cause Crippa is weighing down the nice Guy end of the Seesaw

Robbie D'Orazio will keep pushing the Curnow to Geelong thing because he wants to put pressure on the Swans/Suns to fork up. He knows full well the chances of the Cats doing a deal for Curnow are incredibly slim given the assets they would be willing to give up
Geelong are Ulysses tied to the mast ... and Charlie is a Siren bleeting out that he wants to join up and willing to take a pay cut to get there.

The Allure is strong ... you can bet Geelong are busy working around the clock to find an angle to partner up.
Nothing satisfies a Geelong recruiter more that Huge talent at a bargain price.
After scoring Bailey Smith ... the appetite has returned to hungry as ...

Edit: Of course .. the rest of the Club are focused on winning the GF where a win will be extremely satisfying.
A loss will get the juices for improvement flowing.

Oh and don’t think Charlie being at the cats game was because he wanted to be there.Thats a strategic move from his manager.Charlie dosent even care to watch any footy.
On the other hand, Acres being in the Cats locker rooms celebrating the win with their players and holding a Dangerfield badge, doesn't cut it at all. Absolutely pathetic

Hopefully Voss and Wright tore shreds off him and stamped his papers.

The thing is it won't be a bargain price in terms of trade capital. And when you consider they are already after Marshall in a position that is a greater need for them when compared to another KPF it looks quite difficult.

Can anyone give any scenario where Charlie to Geelong works? He has come out and said he'll take a paycut to get there, great - but how do they satisfy us?

I can't be bothered playing out hypotheticals that I'm sure someone else has already feverishly crafted!

No one can. AFL journalism jumped the shark years ago.

Humphrey is not a gun yet.

He is a potential gun.

Charlie is a gun, irrespective of an ordinary 2025 season.

Two, almost three, Colemans.

Humphrey? What's he got in the bank...

2025 was his best season yet, but still lots of meh games...

So in return for Chuck - BH, another decent/good player and some picks...

The son of a giant once a wildcat may be on the watch list. "Early doors."

(Personal note on this one: I don't see it happening as intention is to re-sign, I believe)
Music Video Wtf GIF

That really sums up Blake at the moment — he’s been gifted a long-term contract and, to be honest, far too comfortable. I think this is exactly the kind of attitude GW is trying hard to shift by changing the way we offer contracts in the future for role players.

I assume "giant" refers to height of the player's parent as the Giants haven't been around for long enough. And "wild cat" likely refers to the parent of the player of interest playing for Richmond or Brisbane...

Any ex tall players from Brisbane or Richmond that now have sons in the AFL?

I'd say more likely the son of an NBL basketballer who's father played for the old north Melbourne/Melbourne Giants & Perth Wildcats... but i could be wrong. How'd I go Wickzki ? :tearsofjoy: :tearsofjoy: :tearsofjoy: :tearsofjoy:

Dad didn't play for Perth. He (the son) played for Eltham Wildcats
