us splitting picks feels like it is dependent on 2 factors.

1) if WCE get pick two, pushing our picks to 3 and 4 then the chances increase
2) how involved we could get with someone like Hawks to help broker a deal so they get Merrett.

Either way Blairs history suggest we wont do anything unless we are fleecing someone.

I'm not against the idea of splitting a pick, but I'd probably prefer we do it live on the night just in case the players we want get through to our selections.
Unless of course we get some sweetheart deal that involves sliding back in the first round, a F1 for next year from a non-contender and a later pick for Kellaway.

We won’t pass on Sully. We will take him at 3 and try split 4… personally can’t see which club would be desperate to get up to 4 for I guess CDT but stranger things have happened.

If we are thinking of splitting one of our picks then the club obviously has a few players already targeted.

It seems to be us getting the best kid we can after West Coast pick/s, then try trading down for a couple of picks.

Can't see pick 4 getting two high first rounds though so this board is going to melt.

Yeah he’s great. Just the question is do we need another to add to brown/banks/trainor.

He’s not my first choice behind Robey but it’s close.

Taylor is very different to those three and he’s also something that we don’t currently have developing.

We’re definitely after a taller running game breaking type. Our interest in NHH and X.Taylor shows this as much.

The only realistic suitor I can see for a pick split is GC, which would have to be pick 14 (after Allen compo) and F1 for pick 4. Maybe they throw in Rosas too.

Sydney could be a pick swap candidate they can end up with pick 4 to package up and trade for Curnow, which should interest carlton as it will come in before a harry dean bid. We end up with pick 3 pick 11 and 2xF1.

He’s mostly played back. I watched him play a half in midfield and was very good.

I think he could play wing l, as he is quite good at breaking lines, but I wouldn’t bank on it more a nice if it happened. I think he’s ceiling is a Will Day type development into midfield his floor is a Maynard/vlas type defender only

I dunno, it’s only a 10 spot downgrade in an even draft for an extra 1st in a much stronger one. In fact I think under normal circumstances GC wouldn’t do it, they only might because itd give them a chance of getting ahead of academy bids (which is a stretch to happen though admittedly).

For us, if it’s say Robey + X Taylor versus Robey + O Taylor + pick 14 next year, I’d say that’s a clear win for us

GCS likely to be Top 4 next year though, so that F1 won't be great
