Watched the game again on Kayo when I got home last night.
I hadn't appreciated how good Ty Gallop's game was watching live.
He has everything to become a serious A-grader.

And repeating myself, but can't believe how quickly Logan's fitness is improving. He was running, chasing and tackling all over the ground.

Just wanted to drop in to say congratulations and thank you for your efforts yesterday!

Geelong are serial sooks & cheaters (as evidenced by the 17-4 half time free kick count) who have always been reflective of the most shameful and vile elements of Victorian society. Essentially they're a club of bottom feeding chokers.

You've done a wonderful thing. It just wouldn't have been right for a club as undeserving as Geelong to Bradbury another flag, whereas Brisbane clearly battled an extreme amount of adversity to salute this year.

Thanks again and well done on a superb display. :thumbsu:

What a club - what a team - what a coach - what a day - best supporters ever.

In my mind if we were with them at HT we were a massive chance. Cats threw everything at us in the first half and we withstood them and the one sided free kick count. In fact I thought Cats were holding on at HT. We made it a contested game and after HT the game broke open and they couldn't go with us. Just tore them to shreds from about mid way through the 3rd qtr.

All year we have been complaining about our inability in front of goal but in the last qtr we couldn't miss !! Watching goal after goal sail through down the punt road end will be a memory to last forever with all the Lions supporters down there. Lions fans out sang/cheered the Cats supporters for entire match - that was some effort in itself.

I could go through every player and say how brilliant they were but will leave that to others. I just want to give out a special mention to Darcy Fort who was superb in the ruck. Darcy Gardiner who has been through the hard times at this club and never left, missed out last year but was brilliant the last month and one of the best on ground yesterday.

Oscar -what can you say - never been a more deserving Premiership player. He did his role perfectly yesterday. Stopped them taking intercept marks and made a real nuisance of himself.

Love this club and love our players and coach. They have given us some of the best days ever that no one could imagine ten years ago. Let's soak it up and enjoy the celebrations and then re set for the 2026 Premiership.

Go the mighty Lions.
Thanks, you just wrote what I was thinking and I couldn’t have said it better so I’ll just say ditto.

So proud, so happy. Throat may never recover but who cares 😂. Go Lions!!

Been up since 4am reading and warching, basically revelling.

Chris Scott in his presser, more than fair, asked about Will said he loves him and Levi, you forget like many of our other great team he's like an uncle to those lads.

Also that 'tough bastard' Dunkley needs an ankle and a shoulder, operation, Kai can hopefully get his ankle fixed, am sure Hugh has had an issue with his knee, and the sheer bloody mindedness of Lachie to defy logic and get himself right. Warriors!

On Lachie.

The message Lachie sent, the leadership in his willingness to do whatever it takes including playing a role that is seen as a fringe role is mind blowng in its impact on the younger players.

No ego issues, no I'm a two time browlow medallist still capable of blowing a game apart. No I'm too good to be the sub.

Just a clear and simple statement - the team comes first.

Stunning.

So many thoughts rolling around in my head. Just unbelievable our lads managed to get it done this year.

Felt the coverage leading in was rather disrespectful. Not in a rude way, just seemed to ignore the finals ability of this team. Something like 12 of 14 writers for The Age tipping Geelong, the assumption that our poor showing in the QF meant Geelong had our measure, despite the fact we have handled them comfortably twice this year.

How we managed to overcome the loss of guys like Payne, Answerth, Hipwood, Berry and to an extent Neale. All key players and Im sure most of us thought their absences might be the death blow to our season, individually, let alone as a group. Add in the fact Coleman, Linc and Doedee didn't manage to get back either and it really is remarkable. It all contributed to having 5 guys playing in the GF with less than 25 games.

The lopsided free kick count in the first half. Granted, a lot of those frees were there for Geelong, but surely if you are happy to blow the whistle as frequently you could have found a couple more for Brisbane. I noticed we got a couple early in the third, so the umpires quite likely were aware they had been a little one sided.

I thought we controlled the game all day to be honest. It felt like Geelong were just holding on for most of the day, despite the lead changing frequently in that first half. Funny, the commentary team did seem to think it was Geelong in control, Going to be very sweet watching the full replay and listening to those comments.

It looked like Danger was injured, or at the very least just exhausted from his massive PF effort. With Jerremy Cameron injured early, Geelong lacked the fire power to really make a charge. Im not sure it would have made a huge difference, we have handled them both pretty well in the past.

Thats it for now, bit all over the place, but my head is a bit of a mess at the moment.

Go Lions!!

Re watching. The Cameron arm injury was a no brainer. They replayed the collision and it clearly bent in ways it shouldn't.

Ridiculous that they didn't just sub him out immediately. Not that i mind, but bloody hell. That's their job.
The irony of Danger causing it by being a bull at a gate 👌

I want the full fox footy montage treatment for Harris soccering the ball on the wing, then tapping it, then falling over the boundary line oh so clumsily.

Quad call, gladiator music in the background please.

Sauce Merrett would never have gotten away with that shit

Dayne Zorko - I think you are now my favourite Lion of all time.
I had to put you in my 5 best as ridiculous as it was who I had to leave out. Felt vindicated when I saw the Norm Smith votes.
Your reading of the play, intercepting, decision making and kicking was 'special', 'elite', 'brilliant', 'scintillating'.
That play to set up Lockie's goal was absolutely farking marvellous. I will always remember that moment with a huge smile on my face.

Just like your smile after the final siren (again). You were my BOG in the post game celebrations and presentations.
And you were the absolute ring-leader when you went into the rooms to sing our song. The biggest kid there, the most excited of the lot. Orchestrating the best singing of the song by a team (possibly ever).
I couldn't stop grinning like an idiot.
Zorks, you are everything great in a footballer.
You are right up there with the greatest Lions of all time in my eyes .

Watched the replay on Fox Footy last night.......one thing I noticed which I missed during the live game was our fans singing the players song after they goaled......or did Fox put the songs in, in the background? Sounded real to me though, hope it was.

..I smiled, teared up and got goosebumps all at once, loved it.

A question I think you're in the best position to answer Tom considering your deep insights into the subject.

Is Draper better than Fort ?

I had a microphone and speaker at the game which I snuck in and sang loudly.
