Scott fumbled it badly yesterday.
Had Brisbane’s measure only a couple of weeks ago.

Had the rub of the green with the umpires early and didn’t capitalise.

Got brutalised in the middle and then brain farted his use of the sub while the opposition coach used it brilliantly.

Seemingly had one plan and when it failed to eventuate just froze.

Fagan on the other hand learnt from his loss against the Cats and adjusted accordingly.

Chris Scott does not even have the best win/loss coaching finals record in his family.

Let that sink in.

If Sydney weren’t so horrible at grand finals then Geelong would be the biggest perennial pretenders in AFL history.

Is that actually true?

We got at 40 per cent in the AFL era in grand finals, from our 35-33 finals record.

there’s a team who wear navy blue who go at 33 per cent in grand finals. And it’s not just grand finals.

29 finals. 13-16 across 35 years of AFL competition has been pretty abysmal from Carlton.

Joel Selwood went 22-18 😂😂😂

If you could actually be competitive ‘perennially’ - notwithstanding that you keep beating us head to head - you would have a worse one, probably.

It is kind of funny that we’ve had both more losses, and wins, in finals in the last 36 seasons of AFL football than Carlton have actually played finals matches.

‘Let that sink in’ doesn’t give your comment more gravitas.

Adults understand the idea of outliers.

I’ve never choked a prelim against Collingwood but every Tigers player in 2018 has.

Ergo, I’m better under finals pressure than all of them.

Probably playing 10+ games at their cheat ground during H&A inflates the H&A record... Finals % is probably a more true indication..

Yeah it does. It lowers our win percentage. We literally went at 80 per cent elsewhere this year, and 70 per cent at our ‘cheat ground’ in order to get into the grand final. How many times does this have to be pointed out 😂😂😂

Luke Beveridge has a 54% win rate in finals which is better than Chris Scott who has a 48% win rate in finals.
hell yeah I reckon Chris Scott would trade up a couple of elimination finals wins from Bevo for one of his flags. Bevo is awesome

I saw it on the internet and thought it did give a post more gravitas, which is why I used it.

So in your view Brad Scott's 4-4 (0 gf, 0 flag) record is better than Chris Scott's 16-17 (4 gf, 2 flag) record?

No, the fact is Chris Scott has a worse winning percentage in finals as a coach than Brad Scott, who also had a far superior w/l rate as a player in finals than Chris.

Chris is well known to be the finals gimp in his family. It is an incredible shame he has had to face so much unspecified adversity. Nothing impacts your ability to win finals more than unspecified adversity.

Haven’t you bounced back quickly after that shameful effort on Saturday.

Facts are since 2011 Geelong are nothing more than a token finalist.

They get their wins at the fake sized oval. And fall to pieces when it counts.

I’d rather not follow football at all then be a cats supporter.

Embarrassing.

Brad is actually undefeated in finals for Essendon. What a guru

I’ll happily take a second key forward who kicks 45 goals

To be fair, 11 games against top 8 sides for 14 goals (1.27 goals per game). Only once kicking more than 1.

Good game v GWS kicking 5 (although Taylor wasn't playing for the Giants). Mediocre reading outside that game though.

As an example comparison, Jack Williams kicked 7 in 6 games v the top 8 (1.15 per games). If you take out the game he was sub v Giants where he didn't kick one, it is 1.4 per game. And he was playing for the spooners. Also couldn't crack our side at the end and we stink.

Team has better record at home. Huge if true.
The Tigers I’m gonna guess bucked that trend during their glory years and relied on their better-away-from-the-MCG record for their strong numbers?
You are missing the point Phatty, but I get it, still a bit raw :(
