Clarry a VFL player???

Really?!?

Which of our reserves are deserving of regular senior games?!
One of the main problems with Oliver is that he absolutely cannot play any other roles. We'll want all of Langford, Pickett, Rivers, Lindsay, Windsor and (outside chance) Flanders playing mid time next year. Far more important from a list build perspective that those guys get prioritised.

Rather that over another year of the 3 amigos
I will remember this when everyone it bitching about our pick ups draft night before they've even played a game

Yeah. A centre square clogger, if you will.

I would say is more about Oliver only being able to play inside mid and the club wanting to move him out of there.

Ugh.

I know it's not a make or break trade, but selling off Trac, Oliver and May for a rebuild, but bringing in Mihocek when we also have Melk and Fritta anyway is just ****ing bizarre.
Touched on it above, but I've warmed to the idea more. We're going to have a monstrous amount of cap space if we clear all these guys out, so paying a veteran smart footballer (who's a complete pro) for a couple of years to give a forward target and provide some leadership/mentoring for our younger guys is not really the worst plan.

There's a massive dearth of leadership at the club and our list is going to be very young – I'm pro tearing it down, but I'm not an advocate for just leaving all the kids to fend for themselves (see North until this year, us in the early 2010s, West Coast now etc).

Worst case scenario is he keeps Jefferson and Johnson types out of the side, but I'm pretty sure the club is aware that they're busts by now. Won't be keeping out any promising kids.

With Trac, May and Oliver essentially being shopped it says a lot about their capacity to be good mentors for the younger players. Can’t remember Collingwood ever discussing trading Pendlebury and Sidebottom.
Probably says a bit about Viney's role now too

Yep, there is a reason we are keeping guys like TMac and Viney on but moving May Trac and Oliver.

Yeah, I get all that and it's understandable - but don't Melk and Fritta already offer that in the forward line? And even TMac if we wanted to switch him forward? Do we need three veteran mid-sized forwards that can't do anything with ball on deck?

In saying this, I reckon you can split Petracca from the other two. I actually believe King when he says he would be happy to keep him. However, if he unlocks something like Humphrey 👋. May and Oliver is a fire sale and more about culture.

Possibly, but Mihocek brings experience from a strong, well-run club (with an excellent system), which is a bit different. That, and I very much doubt that we'll get too many more games out of Melk and T-Mac.

As I said, I was completely against it to begin with when it looked like a top-up, but now that we're tearing it all down, I'm supportive of having a handful of good vets.

Oh yeah just like when Chris Dawes came from an experienced well run club 🎉
