As a Cat supporter Proper Gander: and a long time admirer of Steven King as a person, I’m somewhat fascinated but also taken-back by the Dee’s new coach no-nonsense approach. He forthrightly comes across with a ‘clear vision’ of how he wants the individual players and the team as a collective to play. Taking the game-on supported by defensive integrity seems to be Kingy’s number one mantra and if players are not prepared to take-on the demanding responsibilities, commitment and ownership that’s required to drive and meet those ‘clear defining goals’, then he doesn’t want them to be a part of the team, regardless of their previous status at club.

'So ballsy' of what Kingy is demanding and to back that-up he comes across as a guy who doesn’t blink, looks you straight in the eye, a man’s man and together we'll be united with a very clear goal and together ‘in time’ as a team collective and as a 'proud football club' we'll go to the promised land. Of course, this can go two ways, but Steven has made his intentions abundantly clear so no-one person/player/fan will be left wondering to what is needed or required to gain the ultimate success...... the Premiership Cup. I get why King is turfing the others tho before Viney, he's a leader off the field in the way he trains and a good foot soldier who won't cause drama. Need to keep some guys to set an example and bring the kids along the right way rather than be influenced by morons like Oliver.

Yeah. Hated the Viney contract at the time but fine with it if we are embracing the rebuild. Won't hurt us in the short term.

I think what's saving Viney is he's been a complete professional where Oliver has had his well publicised issues. Both players are limited in what positions they can play. Viney may still be on the list but hopefully under King won't be gifted games.
