Very difficult or if not impossible getting a non WA star coming west.Has there been anymore goss around Merrett?
Out of all the players on the departure merry-go-round, he's the one the intrigues me the most.
Is there any hope in hell we could get him to head west or is that just a fantasy in my head?
Dont think so, they don't need to trade Humphrey and he's more valuable than Trac IMO.Humphrey to Melbourne is the easiest and most logical way it gets done
Got a feeling that pick 6 might be trade out in the Pettruca deal.
no way, it's a cursed comment. now we're going to have surprise trade requests coming out of Wallsys arseh*le. thanks purple suitUnder-rated comment.![]()

have you met carlton?I dunno I mean Humphries is clearly very talented by surely you'd think twice about paying a premium top midfielder in the comp price before he's proved he can do it?

Has Simpkin been linked anywhere yet
Jack Anthony?!Very difficult or if not impossible getting a non WA star coming west.
Geelong is not far from Melbourne and surf coast. Why can’t freo bring in guys like the cats for f sake lol
true we need to set the same standard. Hopefully that’s freo at some point lolRecruiting gets easier when you are as successful as Geelong has been since 2007.
He's a funny, old fellowDemons are about to lose a gazillion dollars off their books. They’ll over pay someone. Humphries may be the lucky recipient.
Correct. Unfortunately unless u r a WA Star you are never getting them over here. Unless u draft them, then u pay them to stay. We need a COLA![]()
I don't think people realise just how close it is. Last week I drove from north of Melb to a popular Geelong beach in just under 90 mins. I would be lucky to get from Cockburn to Joondalup in the same time (or unlucky, depending which side of the river you're from)Geelong is not far from Melbourne and surf coast.
We need up our game on incentives like pubs, farms, houses and brown bags.
Every club should have a flight allowance based on KMs travelled. Wouldnt be hard to work out and should be added onto match payments automatically. We've actually had a few concessions lately, I'm not sure we'll be able to get that one over the line any time soon thoughThere should be a flight allowance. Yes, I’m being serious.
The miles WA teams cover + time is ridiculous.
Having the allowance would make it slightly more palatable for potential recruits.
Humphrey's is worth more than Trac, yes, adding pick 6 is a BIT muchAbsolutely.
But Gold Coast also have 13 and 16.
IF Humphries selects Demons 6 and Humphries would seem a bit much?
Would we even want to move up to 6?
Gold Coast can certainly get this deal done, but if Demons become greedy. We can be a circuit breaker. Take 6 out of the equation. Provide Gold Coast with a F1.
Gold Coast still have assets to deal for Petracca.
Yeah any trade that involves our rivals getting stronger makes me sick. Essendone will be at the bottom with the Eagles for a whileBaily Humphrey without a doubt has more value than Petracca right now.
God I hope the bombers dig their heels and refuse to trade Merrett, leaving the Hawks with no gun mids coming over
It would get over the line pretty quick if WC and GC pushed for it. Although no doubt it will then be implemented as a flight allowance for coastal teams only and the definition of a coastal team will be something like "have Coast in your name or a feline mascot"Every club should have a flight allowance based on KMs travelled. That and ultimately f**k HawthornYeah any trade that involves our rivals getting stronger makes me sick. Essendone will be at the bottom with the Eagles for a while
