Apologies for any inconvenience. We will try to find a replacement.
Meanwhile we got band 3 for Brad Crouch.Carlton get band 2 compo for Silvagni.
He shouldn't be but just like other GWV Rebels Joel Freijah and Kai Lohmann who I rated from a long way out way way higher than the general consensus on here and in the media after seeing every game they played for the Rebels he doesn't seem to be getting the fanfare he deserves. Him I would trade up for given it would unlikely take too much collateral.Would he be round still at 41?

I suspect it'll be a 5 year deal ....what we won't know is the $$$ attached to the Contract .....some amortisation ? or an increase as has been alluded toWe'll certainly find out if Petracca goes to Gold Coast on a 4 year deal
Jack Steele anyone?
Had him on a platter with zero competition to know pricking the ears of others
Still think we would be near or at front of the queue though
I wonder if the AFL have had a hand in this too re money to help out their pet project land a star of the compI suspect it'll be a 5 year deal ....what we won't know is the $$$ attached to the Contract .....some amortisation ? or an increase as has been alluded to
Obviously probably nothing in it but worth mentioning
2 points...
I wonder how much Darren Burgess leaving had to do with the decision?
I can see why the Crows may have pulled out. Our first attempt to gain Gibbs was a long process that may have been better spent on other trades and contracts.
No matter what you may think about the Jarryd Lyons trade at the time, (Lyons, 24, and pick No.71 for picks 43 and 67) it was a debacle that may have been avoided had we not taken our eye off the ball.
I think we would have been banging our heads against a wall with Melbourne. Now that is Gold Coast's problem.

If cheap then I'd be okay with it.Jack Steele anyone?
Yeah, I think you missed the part where the premise was on the basis of a contract breach by the club (ie Melbourne's mishandling of Petracca's medical issue).
Dont take your hangover out on me, old mate.
Are you trying to be funny ?Viva la Mattner what is your source saying today?

Sure, but at the time he was only 26 and a year off winning a best and fairest. In hindsight would you say that's not fair value for him and what he did at St Kilda?
Maybe we need to drive him past Star of the Sea school as well.
Brad did finish well inside their top 10 in their Trevor Barker Medal 2 years running. In hindsight would you say that's not fair value for him and what he did at St Kilda?
Soligo has basically been the same player for two seasons now, not sure if he has any growth left in him
Curtin’s probably our best chance
So if we're not paying $1.2M to Petracca next year, who are we paying that spare salary to?
Hard to see that occurring with Geoff Walsh at the helm ....he'd still have some BRIS alliance at the front of his thinkingI wonder if the AFL have had a hand in this too re money to help out their pet project land a star of the comp
I don't think the risk is high with oliver. They're paying half his salary. It's almost a free hit.not potentially. it comes with huge risk!
but sometimes you need to take a risk... but there's a reason no one wants a 28yo brownlow medalist bull mid.
oh if only we had an academy, father son A grade mids and 3rd party deals that extend past free hiluxs and radio segments.
