Yeah, this is a pretty stress free trade conversation, because it's pretty clear it will result in a win-win-win, or nothing at all, which is still fine.

I honestly can't see how anyone loses in this trade. Most likely Ro gets to continue playing in the position he is best at, Cats fill a position of need, and Saints get capital for other trades.

Whatever happens it will probably work out as a fair trade that neither set of supporters will be happy with.
I feel hardball would have been played more if the Steele situation hadn't occurred. However if Steele leaves they may want to keep Marshall. I feel they wouldn't mind keeping one but not both, and currently my money is on Steele staying.

I didn’t say Battle wasn’t a good player. We did miss him this year.

I did admit we mishandled him - but at least the compo helped make up for it.

The reason he was told not to come to the B&F is because of the way he led the players and LM on, telling them he was staying and then texting them last minute. Really pissed them off. Would have been untenable for him to be there in the circumstances.

Trav is a skinny first year player with excellent traits and very good hands. Nowhere close to writing him off.

Are you betting on Steele staying because no one will want him or because he will want to stay. I would have thought with his announcement that its more likely Steele goes and they try to keep marshall?

I think st kilda will outwardly tell Geelong they are keeping him like last year but ultimately you would think they trade him.17 and a future 2nd or something is probably where it ends up and both sets of supporters probably feel its too much/not enough.

Listen, this is all well and good, but have you thought about involving 3 other clubs in this trade, and also making sure that it doesn't go through until 15 minutes to deadline????
