Apologies for any inconvenience. We will try to find a replacement.
Carlton and Gold Coast will be doing it for points.Eagles could easily do the deal to land 6 off GC. If it comes with a wink wink no bid in first 2 picks, GC will have effectively saved a gazillion on points.
I am reading that a few clubs are looking to move out of top 10. So, that helps us, but then the question is why? Obviously the draft isn’t rated by many.
We won’t need to ‘overpay’ it seems to move up, but there isn’t anyone worth chasing is there?

I agree with you CobblerYes, he’s solid. I’m just posting what I think.
It’s never a clear cut pick ~ 32 for McVee type scenario.
Will be overly complex to benefit both sides.
Will involve all sorts of upgrades and future pick swaps and likely with picks neither club currently has.
This either gets done for pick ~32 early so then Demons can focus on other trades OR gets done last 5 mins once all the cards are out and Demons know what they’re playing with after all their deals.
We may even ‘score’ a bounty of picks next year.
Can easily see a scenario where we give up 32 and F2 and get a bunch of later picks back this year and/ or next.
I can actually even see us trading down 11 with a hypothetical 17 they receive from GC and scoring points in later rounds.
Heaps of scenarios possible now that Demons are shipping out some blokes.
Yuck.In my opinion I could see us trading our second this year and our 2027 second. That's my prrediction. Two second rounders for McVee.
Their second rounder would be the alternative i.e. the very next pick
McVee is way better than most on here think. I mean way better. Many third party (eg not Melbourne or Fremantle) supporters think he's worth a late first on its own.Yuck.
Better than langdon?McVee is way better than most on here think. I mean way better. Many third party (eg not Melbourne or Fremantle) supporters think he's worth a late first on its own.
Whilst my recent posting history probably suggests I agree with you I'm not sure the value of that future second is easy to access.McVee is way better than most on here think. I mean way better. Many third party (eg not Melbourne or Fremantle) supporters think he's worth a late first on its own.
Yes. McVee is a great kick.Better than langdon?
But Langdon brings the crowd into the action.Yes. McVee is a great kick
Covers them in flourBut Langdon brings the crowd into the action.
Looking back at the trade it wasn't as bad as we thought it was at the time. I think we lost our heads due to the fact we were early in a rebuild and cost a decent flavour that was likeable.Langdon had far more runs on the board when he was traded to Melbourne than McVee does currently.
nekk minnit they hand over pick 6 for starc and dev insteadThank Christ they aren’t trading their end of first rounder for Starcevich and Robertsen. Brisbane have enough advantages.

It looks awfulLooking back at the trade it wasn't as bad as we thought it was at the time. I think we lost our heads due to the fact we were early in a rebuild and cost a decent flavour that was likeable.
I think that speaks more of our recruitment of Wingers than Langdon's abilities. It looks awful
a like 15 game stretch from Acres is the only thing thats come close to Langdon on the wing since he left
and its been 5 years..
McVee already has two top ten best and fairest including 7th in 2024 and 9th in 2023 in a top 4 team. Langdon's disposal was very suspect when playing at Freo. That affected his trade value. McVee has great disposal already.Langdon had far more runs on the board when he was traded to Melbourne than McVee does currently.

Yeah I take your point as I quoted bnf. But I still think McVee has way more upside than Langdon did.Langdon had two top 5 bnf finishes
Or you could just say you were wrong.Yeah I take your point as I quoted bnf. But I still think McVee has way more upside than Langdon did.
Won’t be two seconds alone and it won’t be a late first. Melbourne were only offering 2 year contract extension.McVee is way better than most on here think. I mean way better. Many third party (eg not Melbourne or Fremantle) supporters think he's worth a late first on its own.
I did say I was wrong. Either way I don't think Langdon was as accomplished as McVee is but I was wrong to use bnf as my reference point.Or you could just say you were wrong.
