Gyokores is struggling
Always seems to arrive too early or too late

It is hard for a player like him to thrive playing against low blocks week after week. This was my concern with signing him.

That being said he's had a few chances recently where you feel like he's not far off figuring it out and ripping it apart. Fingers crossed.

Lovely stuff. Rice who doesn’t always have his best game against West Ham so nice of him to score. Saka with his 100th goal involvement in the PL in his 200th match in Arteta’s 300th game in charge overall. What a stat.

Top of league, what a contrast to a few weeks ago entering the international break with a loss. Yes please.

That was a smashing. West Ham didn’t land a blow, zero shots on target. Smashed them everywhere really aside from the scoreboard.

Odegaard’s injury is the real worry. Just when he was looking like his old self, that’s a blow. I think it read that’s 3 consecutive PL matches he’s been subbed off with an injury. Damn.

Enjoyed Rice’s “I’m not gonna celebrate but I’ll give you campaigners the stares” to the away fans after they’d abused him every chance they got haha.

Back on top of the league is lovely. However the major positive for me is this:

Away win to Newcastle (lost there last season)

Home win to West Ham (again, lost to them last season).

That’s a +6 point swing right there from the corresponding fixtures last season. Yes please.

We cannot catch a break with injuries. At least Rice and Odegaard get two weeks off now.

Gyökores is just well off it, it's a bit of a concern. We need Havertz back ASAP.

It would have been nice to smash the Hammers, we really controlled the game so well. Hopefully it clicks and we start putting sides away.

The Arsenal captain made history in the 2-0 win over West Ham on Saturday when he had to be withdrawn after only 30 minutes, becoming the first player in Premier League history to be substituted before half-time in three consecutive starts.
