A late starter, Sullivan Robey's Talent League debut came in round 12 against the Power, and though Eastern lost the game and Robey looked a little tentative at times, there were enough moments of power and quality to hint at his surge up the draft ranks through the second half of the season.

A huge early season performance from Farrow, an early indication of his quality and part of an outstanding block of form before the champs that saw him move firmly into draft calculations. He was still playing as a rebounding defender at this point for West Perth, the full midfield move yet to emerge, but he pushed up high to sweep behind stoppages and showed that he could win his own footy and impact defensively with a strong tackling display. As always, his classy left boot was a weapon in setting up the play for his team.

So Robey 3.118 sec 20m to go with 6:45 2km time trial. Don’t think he goes before pick 7 if we get it but I’d say Grlj is more likely than not to be taken by the Tigers or Bombers beforehand.
According to ESPN he tested at the combine with a fractured collarbone what is probably not recommended but seems Robey has a grit and determination to succeed.

So judging from Cal, he does not think we will trade pick 1 so Willem come on down.

I doubt whether Norf trade out Zane without a massive premium so Dons vision of the trio sounds unlikely.

Will Dons trade up for 2? A lot easier deal to get done

4/5+20 for 2 seems about right.

Give me Noah Hibbins-Hargreaves or Dovaston with the later pick, either one would be great.

Duursma straight into the midfield round 1, him, Harley, Hewett and potentially Sharp/Cumming is a dynamic young midfield.

You add Dev, Yoe, Graham, Baker and McCarthy into the mix, and these kids have solid protection.

So CDT wasn't in the top 10 for either of the jumping tests?
Doesn't look like it.

Recorded a very good 20m sprint time though 2.922. And was top 10 in the 2km time trial.

Supports the idea that he's more of an oversized utility/mid who's point of difference is his work at ground level, rather than a traditional tap ruck with great aerial attributes.

Top 10 for each test are here: https://central.rookieme.com/afl/2025/10/06/top-10s-2025-national-afl-draft-combine/

I think the knock on NHH is he floats in and out of games. Perfect replacement for flying.

Is it possible to see how the W.A. boys did in all the tests ?
F-Rod and Tylah Williams were the only ones mentioned in top ten of some tests.

His running has never been in question for me as watching CDT in real time live, he covers the ground exceedingly well for a player his height.
Yes very quick and runs all game. :heavycheck:

Many on here have compared his ruck work to Luke Jackson which, sorry I just cant agree with.

Jacksons ruck craft was a several levels above CDT in their respective championships.

Not surprised CDT didn't register in the top 10 in his cohort at the combine in either jump tests.

This years Standing Vertical Jump best was heigh 80 cm and tenth best was 71 cm.
This years Running Vertical Jump best was height 98 cm and the tenth best was 84 cm.

So CDT was somewhere below 71 in the standing vertical jump and below 84 in the running vertical jump.

At his combine Jackson jumped:

Standing Vertical 73cm
Running vertical 98 cm

So thats an interesting analysis.

The second slight on CDT for me is that his overhead marking is ok but nothing great.
He double grabs and triple grabs a lot of his overhead marks and also drops a lot too.
His chest marking is very good.

He is very handy in front of goals and his ground skills and work below his knees is really impressive.
But at the next level his overhead marking will need to develop into a lot more one touch one grab efforts.

There is certainly a heap of upside to him but he is going to require three years worth of development before he is AFL ready.

Once that happens he will be a special player.

Could he be a defender? He gets to the ball well.

Yes he certainly could and that in theory is a genuine option.

Without being privy to his coach ability and he willingness to play different roles, he has the skills to play as a KPD.

Would suggest with his leg speed he would be best as a CHB if played as a defender.

He's Bailey Williams but with better mobility. Taller but less of a jump.

Bad Ruck, Bad Mark, Bad Kick. Worth Pick 2?

I've contemplated the idea of an Archer Reid/Cooper Duff-Tyler ruck tandem - two tall utilities who can play across all three lines and always contribute something outside of stoppages.

It's an interesting idea, but experimental. And I don't think we are in a position to experiment yet. Just need to get a genuine infusion of blue-chip talent into the side.

This is the only reason you would draft CDT. If you abandon the ruck position and are just playing him as an extra midfielder.

Bad Ruck, Bad Mark, Bad Kick. Worth Pick 2?

I think we all know the answer to that question.

Hence why I wouldn't be using pick 2 on him.

If we wanted a KPP early i would be taking Schubert before him.

And would forego CDT and take someone like Louis Emmett with a latter pick ( late first early second ) who will be a better ruck option but also can play as a KPP, he has done so already.

Emmett is a very under ratted player.

In the second round Sam Ainsworth is a player who I would think is excellent value.

But we need to gets some decent/quality mids onto the list ASAP.
