Riley Kingsell, put his name in your little back book. In March he made Premier Cricket history by becoming the youngest batsman to score a top grade red ball double century, at only 19 years and 163 days. His blistering knock of 227 runs off 196 balls for Sydney club Bankstown was one of four red ball tons from among his 1147 season runs across all formats.

Hate to be that guy because I've always bagged Renshaw but if he can get a couple 100's in the lead up to the first Test the spot will probably be he's.

Between him and Henry Hunt IMO

Why is Henry Hunt suddenly in everyone's minds? Weatherald is ahead of him imo and unless Jake fails and Hunt makes some more centuries then he shouldn't be in the conversation yet.
Any opener with a pulse is in contention, apparently....

Hunt made three tons in his first five shield rounds last season, one from one already this, that is why he has to be in the conversation. Technique and temperament will be needed against the Poms. Hunt has both over Weatherald. Then again the selectors may want Weatherald to adopt a Duckett type role so not ruling out him. Tim Ward also after his incredible last season, tho he does now bat #3 for Tassie. Renshaw is back in the frame too.
Can you be as inconsistent as Hunt is and be said to have good temperament? Temperament seems to have evolved to mean bat really slowly which I don't think this current Australia team needs more of.
