Moderators will intervene for a couple of reasons.

There is no need to further speculate. What will be will be.

Need a forward in Hayward coming back as well

Hayward is the one i don't really rate. Plays 2-3 great games a year and coasts for the rest. Kicked more than 30 goals only twice and he'll be 27 next year.

We only just got rid of Kennedy to balance out our midfield rotation and 22, and we already have issues in having to force Lord to play on a wing at times to balance out Cripps/Hewett etc ... Rowbottom would only add to that problem.

Or, you could play a knackered Crippa up forward. Also, we have next to no midfield depth. Also, I really like Rowbottom.

I personally don't believe it, but it came from someone who is highly respected in Australian sport. The bloke has an OAM and a lot of contacts. Not the type I would be expecting to spread BS. He went on to say things are impoding at the Lexus Centre and that Fly and Leppa are at war with each other. This last piece is my favourite part of the rumour!

Have heard plenty of things about Fly from a senior member of a club where he was a former assistant.

He’s been riding high on the coattails of the 2023 flag but we’re already starting to see the cracks in the facade.

Just spent two weeks in Italy copping that bug screen and missing all the shenanigans on here, only to work out at Fiumicino airport that a few refreshes on the page cleared it up.

One has ongoing alledged rape charge proceedings and the other serious navicular fractures that has limited him to 6 games of footy so far.
1st most prob wont play again, second may not get there owing to injury.

Personally, I would prefer to trade out of this draft entirely rather than use capital to move up. Move pick 10 to someone's 2026 first. Move 11 to several lower picks for Dean/Ison points. Take Dean/Ison as the centrepieces of our draft and take some later picks on high risk/reward types.

Long term replacements for Hewett and Cripps who are 30 and 31 respectively at the start of next year. Great tackler and can find the footy when played in the right role.

2 firsts and Rowbottom is a good start.

This is a reasonable point. I get the reaction that we don’t need another inside mid but Davies/Wright might be thinking about what the team looks like in 2-3 years. We’re going to have a pretty serious looking midfield after Cripps/Hewett drop off between Walsh, Jagga, Walker, Cerra. Rowbottom might complement them nicely going forward.

There's just so much noise about it. All the media think there will be change.

I’ve refrained from posting this previously but enough time has passed. We made a big offer to him this year.

The last part is not true unless things have changed very recently.
