Yes Touk.

Cameron has performed in some finals but never fired properly once in the last 2 weeks of finals. From 9 attempts that is pretty damning if you have pretensions to the throne. All his PF and GF's have ranged from poor to about average. He averages barely over 4 contested possessions in these games, and his accuracy also gets very shaky 13.12.
Yes not arguing this, he has kicked 308 goals since coming to us though at close on 3 a game. It has been a pretty amazing run, with 2 Colemans and a premiership as well. He must be the best Key forward of the decade. I couldn't name a player close to him on goals since 2021 when he came.

No doubt the best at exploiting weaker opposition and converting that into goals. There is no shame in that, but when you have players like Logan Morris more than matching you in the very biggest games in his first 2 seasons at 19-20yo, you have to ask yourself about how good Jeremy really is when it matters most.

If you take out just Cameron's 2025 games against the bottom 4 teams who had really weak key defenders, North, Essendon and Eagles, he scored 62 goals in 23 games. It's not really any better than an average Coleman Medalist over the last 10 years. It is still good going, but definitely not king like.

When Martin kicks 3-4 goals the world spins on its axis if it’s a prelim or grand final.

When Cameron does it only 2 weeks ago you mysteriously just ignore it 😂😂

This thread has so much potential to just be a cats/richmond shitfight
I'm hoping it''ll get to the stage that Wylie Buzza gets mentioned at some point

Starting to build up a similar record to Buddy, in being dominant right up until Grand Final day.

That's a couple of really anonymous ones now, kicked the first in 2019 then disappeared, 2025 was just quiet all round, albeit second half injured.

Did he have a big one in 2022?

Buddy's Grand Final record is pretty good, especially in his earlier years.

At this stage, he looks like he'll cruise past 900 goals and into the top 10 of all-time. Just a question of how far up the list he can go.

I personally think he's hugely underrated currently in terms of standing in the game, legacy etc. People whinge about end of season awards being exclusively for midfielders and so on, but then you'll see Cameron being left out of lists of best 5/best 10 players in the league, which is wild to me.

cruise passed?

Would say he is a chance to get passed 900 goals but far from a certainty

But you don’t take those goals out, do you? Just like you don’t do it for Jack Riewoldt.

He broke his arm in the GF.

Pretty odd post.

Well he’s done it twice, and he’s kicked over 60 six times. Which is more than Riewoldt, Kennedy, Hawkins etc ever did. In addition to the fact that no one is claiming he’s the best ever. So there’s that.

No forward has come close to Franklin's dominance this century, yet nobody's claiming he's unequivocally the standout of his generation. Yet the best of an underwhelming era is somehow better than the best mids, e.g. the Bont?

He's just kicked 88 goals this season and looks like he's absolutely still in his prime.

A relatively modest return of 55ish goals for the next three years and he gets there.

I didn't say he was a certainty - and worth mentioning I'd have pencilled Hawkins in for the 19 goals he needed in 2024 to make 800 - but I'd say he looks far more likely than not to kick 900.

Who’s claiming he’s matched Franklin’s dominance? I’m looking around for anyone that has.

Franklin is in the conversation with the very very best of all time. Being not as good as him doesn’t make someone ‘underwhelming’ 😂😂😂

‘Ooh I can’t bowl as well as Malcolm Marshall. I must be shit at pace bowling.’ - Courtney Walsh after retiring with 500 test wickets at 24

19 of his 83 goals in the H&A season this year cam against top 8 teams surprisingly

Hopefully the Cats dont get many top 8 teams twice next year or that goal tally will drop off drastically

He absolutely brained Brisbane in the first quarter of the Qualifying Final and set the win up. They simply had no answer for him and their best hope was that he'd miss his easy shots (which lucky for them, he did on a few occasions).
