Yeah nah it's Sam Mitchell randomly sliding into Zach's DM's. Player agents only sit there and take 10% and never contact multiple clubs to try to organize meetings. The players and coaches use the time in the week to do thisMaybe Hawthorn should have thought about that before approaching Zerrett though???
Perhaps it was to make it understood that this time our club would really appreciate a reply to one of our texts/calls/emails about Zach.I think it was a fair offer by the hawks yesterday, but that reply by 7pm shit is some amateur hour clown shit.
Sam Mitchell also leaked the fact that Zach was disrespectful to the AFLW team and the essendon leadership group made a complaint to the union about Vosso.Did I really read that last night in here people were suggesting that Sam Mitchell deliberately leaked meeting with ZM? Yeah, I'm sure he thought those headlines during prelim week were a great idea![]()

It’s actually overs for a 30 year old Merrett. Essendon have hawks right where they want them. It’s funny watching multiple Essendon supporters who were saying 2 firsts and HH was a good deal, hell the Hawks even threw in a 2nd rounder and make no mistake HH will be a best 23 player for Essendon straight away.
A prominent player manager with no skin in this deal even said it was a good deal and Essendon were being childish.
These same people who said “That’s a fair deal” “We should take that” are now backpedaling because their incompetent club tells them so.
It’s like a cult, a shitty cult ….. but a cult non the less.
I mean. Why wouldn't you take the dude who's played 12 games In 2 years who you have 11 hours to somehow to a medical on? Why wouldn't people suggest that?personally i'm not sure why we'd take an injury prone plodder like lewis when we already have one in peter wright
similar ages, but at least wright had the capabilities to kick 50 goals in a season
make it make sense!I mean. Why wouldn't you take the dude who's played 12 games In 2 years who you have 11 hours to somehow to a medical on? Why wouldn't people suggest that?
It's a nice theory you've got going but it's very wrong. It’s exhausting reading everyone say x pick will be x pick because of bids..
Pick 9 is Pick 9 and will be Pick 9.
Academy players that aren’t accessible to you are NOT relevant to that pick. It is still the 9th live pick in the draft.
For compensation picks fair enough because they’re actual picks being put ahead but in terms of academy players, they aren’t denting your live pick.
We do and that’s why we have been the most successful club in the comp since we joined in 1925.It’s actually overs for a 30 year old Merrett. Essendon have hawks right where they want them.
Just being ruthless for their club. I thought hawks fans like ruthlessness?
We prefer winning trade weekWe do.
I thought Essendon fans liked playing in Finals?
Dewwy is saying that there are a certain number of players who are essentially unavailable and so where those bids come is irrelevant. If West Coast used their first pick to bid on all of the F/S and academy players, and those bids were matched, then pick 1 would eventually become pick 14, with which they could still select Willem Duursma. It's a nice theory you've got going but it's very wrong.
If you were trading pick 1 and the 70 best kids in Australia were tied to academies and father sons, your pick 1 would have a lot less value than usual. It would have value equivalent to about pick 71.
The same applies here.
Will Day will be like a new signing. So you needed to get some talent in to help your weak midfield?
Yes, Dave.
And you lost one senior mid and didn’t bring in any talented mids?
Yes, Dave.

Err no club is going to tell a required player hey we want you... but we also want you to play for another club
Or Hawthorn did to BurtonYou mean like Sydney has literally just done with Hayward?
Not for us. It’s going to be a great watchIf this doesn't go through, it's got high potential to be a hot mess for the next 12 months.
It’s already a hot mess.If this doesn't go through, it's got high potential to be a hot mess for the next 12 months.
In essence wouldn’t that mean he’s not a required player? You mean like Sydney has literally just done with Hayward?
I was just thinking this, our offer was very close and more than a lot of Bomber posters said they wanted. It’s funny watching multiple Essendon supporters who were saying 2 firsts and HH was a good deal, hell the Hawks even threw in a 2nd rounder and make no mistake HH will be a best 23 player for Essendon straight away.
