Who would have been ideal for the analyst/scouting role?

He does not like Port.
Which is good as if he comes it will be because he wants to succeed.
I know that Rash posted something about this last Thursday, I think. It's more about having a laugh on AA "insider info."Rash inside info had this covered at least a week ago.
Wonder if they'll have another chat with Paul Thomas even though he has recommitted to Centrals?
He works in a school up that way too, so it would need to be a great deal/opportunity to prise him away.I would be surprised if he did backflip on Centrals, it's a bit like when they asked Reeves and he said it wasn't much different to what he was doing at Glenelg.
There will be someone who is keen to get their foot in the door of an AFL football environment.

Get Adam Hartlett in for the SNAFL Role and add him to the social media team.
SANFL coach will be Sutcliffe won't it
You mean Jordan Hinkley could be promoted? But they really want an analyst/scouting type

burn the club down if it happensSANFL coach will be Sutcliffe won't it
If somehow we can get Mattner to join us, I would put him in Darren's old role. I feel like Hammer would be better in his current position as SANFL Head Coach and that he can be in a more teaching/hands-on role while improving his coaching acumen. As has been covered before, HH will join the AFL coaching panel so our focus has shifted to SANFL coach.
Now, I didn't want Surjan to join the AFL panel but I'm open to him being a SANFL coach.
If I were I'd shoot a shot at Mattner and tell him he can be SANFL coach for now (because he doesn't want to get into the AFL system yet due to personal reasons) but if he wants to get into AFL or even have some duties on AFL gameday then there's a pathway.
Unfortunately I think it's too late to revisit the candidates we passed on earlier and there's really nobody that'd come from interstate to take a stoppage/oppo analyst role. So I don't mind HH doing this as I do understand he's well regarded by Carr.
Mattner doesn't want to be part of the AFL system for now due to personal reasons. He doesn't want to travel every 2nd week apparently, due to personal reasons. That's why I said Mattner for sanfl coach role while he also helps out on AFL gameday at home.If somehow we can get Mattner to join us, I would put him in Darren's old role. I feel like Hammer would be better in his current position as SANFL Head Coach and that he can be in a more teaching/hands-on role while improving his coaching acumen.
Oh no, i said Surjan thinking its obvous... but now, shit, i really do think this is what is gonna happenSANFL coach will be Sutcliffe won't it

Moving Harlett sideways sounds like a fine idea. It also sounds like damage control but a fine idea none the less.Looks like it might be Hamish Hartlett. I've heard they have a lot of time for his football knowledge, so this could be an ideal role for him.
I really wouldn't hazard a guess as to who would have been best fit for this sort of role. Phil Walsh back in the day had great footy acumen, he was even able to explain things to me on a member's night![]()
Hallelujah, all this going on about getting rid of the losing mindset and they keep some dill that gave the Port Magpies its first wooden spoon in 124 years.Hartlett would be better suited to being fired

Made 2 grand finals. And under Mayes north didnt get any betterJacob Surjan... Didn't the North Adelaide players make it well known they dislike him
Harlett has hair. So that's promising. However, it's an internal appointment which in recent years has left me jaded but I am willing to give him the benefit of the doubt now that some bald guys aren't running the joint.Looks like it might be Hamish Hartlett. I've heard they have a lot of time for his football knowledge, so this could be an ideal role for him.

Better than being their daddy?Jacob Surjan... Didn't the North Adelaide players make it well known they dislike him
