When an assistant leaves a club fans seem to naturally take the opinion of that he was no good and the club didn't want him anyway.

I think we did that with Lade and he has gone on to be a well regarded assistant coach at two Victorian clubs.

At the end of the day it is musical chairs with assistant coaches, a lot of the times it is best for all parties that they move on and try something different at another club, doesn't mean they are shit.

Hopefully Carr will succeed but I’m not getting mixed up in all the bells and whistles that goes on in silly season.

With me he gets a clean sheet when the season starts and I see then what changes if any there is and how the players respond.

How about his contract wasn’t renewed because they knew he wanted to move to Port when Josh took over. It’s not as if they terminated an existing contract early.

I was so sick of listening to pressers in the latter years that only since today's Dew appointment I've gotten the confidence and hope of a fresh start to listen to Reeves' and Webster's presser.

When Webster says "and obviously what you guys were working through here at Port Adelaide probably just didn't quite work last year" makes me think back to this time last year when Chewy was interacting with us. It is even clearer that installing Carr as the coach must have been within a whisker of happening a year ago. What an unnecessary waste 2025 was. It falls upon the heads of some of these board members.
