Carlton’s list will be better if they can trade in some good picks and an established player

Post trade period I like the look of the Blues list and future prospects. Seem to be managing the list organically through the draft and a few high end Father son's. Plus a few handy ins that they don't have to pay a kings ransom for.

Saints have not paid close to the salary cap for the last couple of years and could afford TDK, sure now he has left Carlton you will bag him. Saints are pleased to have him.

We unlike some clubs ie Carlton do not have players leaving, the opposite Nasiah Wanganeen Milera, Windager, Hall, Phillapou, Owens, Hastie, Travaglia, Tauru, Wilson, Sharman and Boxhall is a very handy young core. With re signing of NWM, Windhager and Phillapou a great recognition of a positive future
I know this is off topic... But again, I always hated the minimum salary cap being 95 percent.

I remember 2010 when the salary cap minimum was 92.5 percent.

Wait until the playing list salary Cap is 20 million dollars.

So 95 percent of that is 19 million. 92.5 percent is 18.5 million. Then 90 percent Is 18 million.

I wouldn’t want Freo’s list. They’ve got the best midfielder in the comp whilst also having the worst midfield

not close to a flag in the near future and are almost starkers for a graders medium to long term judging output so far

the only potential A graders going forward I can see are Hogan and Alex Pearce who are constantly injured, Luke Ryan and maybe A Brayshaw although he is quite limited
As Whitney Houston said.... I will always love you! LoL

This thread is an absolute all-timer. Some absolutely laughable calls mainly people preferring to be young than good.

For me it's a toss up between West Coast and Richmond. Both lists full of list cloggers. Some good young talent in both but miles to go to develop them and unless they all come good they'll need multiple drafts more of young talent to compete.

Could put Essendon in here too. If you could take out their ability to shoot themselves in the foot I'd comfortably take their list over West Coast and Richmond but that's a big if.

Tigers I think are going to develop a good team. West Coast is still a long way behind. Essendon is always a great unknown. I mean they win trade week every year and recruit so many 1st round players and yet...

I wouldn't want North's list. They kept drafting the best available instead of for needs which gave them a team of midfielders. They are lacking quality at both ends and are now trying to turn some of these star mids into half backs/forwards. I think you'll see a mass exodus in years to come, with disgruntled mids eager to play in their natural position elsewhere.

It's weird how ahead of themselves people are getting with Richmond.

After this draft West coast will have taken more early picks in recent years than Richmond. Reid and Ginbey are well ahead of any youngster Richmond has that was taken prior to last year's draft.

Basically if the 2024 draft ends up an unbelievable success Richmond will be ahead of West Coast. If not West Coast will be ahead of Richmond. In either case both look like they're miles back from the pack still.
