for what in returnwet toast guys seem to think they are getting our pick 9 ,I wouldn't deal with them.
"13, 34, 41, 53 for 9, 43 (+109 points) with maybe some future swaps."for what in return

We have the option to put them on our reserves list, if we believe they are potentially worth developing and a list spot…If Gresham or Clark go undrafted in both drafts, could they still be available next year?
I was surprised the club potentially sees more chance of Duffy and Monaghan making the grade.
I highly doubt Gresham is any sort of chance. Clark potentially but would need to do a mountain of work in the next 12 months imo.If Gresham or Clark go undrafted in both drafts, could they still be available next year?

This is pure hopium. Dean could go at 1 if WCE really are keen on him.
Pick 9 for their 2026 F1.wet toast guys seem to think they are getting our pick 9 ,I wouldn't deal with them.
Very unlikely, but you just never know with Wet Toast. They thought Owies was going to be a stealDean isn’t going at 1. C’mon.

Done. Richmond will give you pick 4, F2 & 38 for your F1 & pick 9.I'd deal with anyone that can arrange for us to get Dean, Ison and another first round pick, either this year or next.
This would be ideal but don't think it would leave us enough points for Dean/Ison unless we dip into futures. And 2026 1sts would probably be untouchable due to Walker with the rumoured rule changes set to be brought in next year.In all seriousness shouldn’t Carlton trade ahead of any likely Dean pick? As high as they can? E.g WC pick 2. Then trade back picks to get cheap points to match Dean?
But points don’t come from your first pick in the following year for Ison. They come from the round in which you matched. As long as you had points for matching Dean, that’s all you’d require. This would be ideal but don't think it would leave us enough points for Dean/Ison unless we dip into futures. My point is we'd need either both 9+11 to get 2 (or something similar) leaving us with nothing to get Dean/Ison OR we'd need 9 or 11 + F1 for 2.But points don’t come from your first pick in the following year for Ison. You can use FF1 & FF2 points now.My point is we'd need either both 9+11 to get 2 (or something similar) leaving us with nothing to get Dean/Ison OR we'd need 9 or 11 + F1 for 2.

That'll help quite a bit and he might drift being an academy player. My concern is if we use most our points early, and he actually becomes gettable for a pick under 25, another club might bid earlier then anticipated in an attempt to actually land him.
Exactly. It's a concern, but a minor one.But points don’t come from your first pick in the following year for Ison. They come from the round in which you matched. As long as you had points for matching Dean, that’s all you’d require.
We're probably already in line for that regardless, what we should be navigating towards is securing a top 5 pick this year, or a likely top 10 pick next. That's a good outcome.I'd deal with anyone that can arrange for us to get Dean, Ison and another first round pick, either this year or next.
They will remain eligible via the academy system to us for another 2 national & rookie drafts, I think? But any club can take them without making a bid in the mid-season draft, or can sign them as a free agent after the conclusion of the rookie draft. If Gresham or Clark go undrafted in both drafts, could they still be available next year?

I like Byrne, a lot, and yes, have him on par with Dovaston. No problem if we draft him, but I reiterate, list balance pretty much demands we need to draft a KPF with our “ spare” pick. (Schubert, Ludowyke, Emmett[F/R], Hetherton, Curtin)Any chance for Taylor Byrne if we used a pick in the 20's ?. I think he is the most under rated player in the draft and as a small fwd imo is pretty level with Lachie Dovaston who played in a much stronger team.
SNAPSHOT: “A powerful small with dynamite left-foot kicking and explosive speed to impact going both ways.” – Michael Alvaro
Ben SilvagniI’d almost put a bid on Darcy if we can, position of value and think he’ll be a gun when he gets continuity esp. with WB dicking us around after we’ve been good traders with them.
Latrelle is around 25-30 for mine. Boom or bust type, plus is 20 years oldSome obs:
Duff-Tytler and Dursmaa streets ahead of the rest.
Robey i wouldn't wanna spend a Top 5 on. But he'll prolly go there in this draft.
Dean is not normal Top 5 quality. Zero chance he is bid on by WC or Tiges imo. F/S's drift a bit.
Latrelle should easily be 1st Round.
Not a big call, but a pretty poor Top end.
I'd prolly have Sharp at 3 in the open pool.
This is true but not sure what the market will be for 2027 1sts due to Tasi inclusion. Doubt Eagles will take one of 9 or 11 + a 2027 1st for 2. You would need more. You can use FF1 & FF2 points now.
Plenty who watched enough CTL and champs games have Dean rated in the top 5. He was immense this season.Would be a stupid bluff. I don’t think anyone seriously rates him within the top 5. A bid from 7-12 would be fair. That’s why I think we have to deal with Essendon as they might play dirty and reach, anything higher is negligence.
I wonder if thats purely by the media as opposed to recruitersLatrelle is around 25-30 for mine. Boom or bust type, plus is 20 years old
Sharp top 3 is a great call
I think the top end has become so disrespected that they are now underrated. A lot of the players in this draft have proven themselves at reserves level (Cumming, Sharp, CDT, Grlj etc), so I don’t think it’s that poor - it just doesn’t have the megastar level potential as some other drafts. But you can build teams around several players in this draft
Quite possible. I think certain clubs have shaped this narrative too (St. Kilda and Port in particular) that the draft is not that good to justify their moves around trading draft picks. Whereas teams like West Coast, Richmond and Melbourne would be thinking that they can make big strides based on who they pick up in this draftI wonder if thats purely by the media as opposed to recruiters
Once the phantom drafts closer to draft night from the likes of Twomey come out, then we will start to see what the clubs involved are actually thinking, as opposed to player rankings and media speculation
