Not sure, but a possible explanation as to why Labs took the new ball. A form of protest maybe? But then again, he's not really in a position to be pissing off the selectors right now!

Can't imagine they were that happy about what happened. But also worth remembering Qld have 7 quicks out with injury right now and are probably operating with a 4th string fast bowling lineup. Marnus might have taken one for the team and tried to bowl as many overs as he could to shield the quicks from anymore possible injuries in a nothing innings. Marnus opening was hilarious but Qld bringing Jack Clayton on first change and then Lachie Hearne was the icing on the cake. They clearly didn't want to be out there lol
