$1.01What are the odds on Fremantle making the 8 and then being the first team bundled out via the wildcard finals system?
Meme worthy.

I think this is a pretty balanced view underscoring the rationale. In summary don't rest until we dominate the world https://www.abc.net.au/news/2025-11...medium=content_shared&utm_source=abc_news_webI watch our games + finals. Sometimes I watch the best match up of the week as we get deeper into the season.
Wildcard round I’ll be skipping next season.
It'd be like when Richmond finally broke through and made the finals after finishing 9th all the time, only to be bundled out by 9th place Carlton after the Bombers were disqualified for their human experimentation. What are the odds on Fremantle making the 8 and then being the first team bundled out via the wildcard finals system?

Doesn't mean they have to win. Just another chance to lose.Top 10 playing finals bought in for essendon.
I stopped actively watching other teams / games ten years ago.The more interesting number would be how many people actually watch more than 1 game a week?
I know I only watch our games now days. I'll throw the Thursday/Friday night games on the TV, but I'm not sitting through the whole game. It's background noise while I do other things.
Meanwhile over at Port...
Might be an unpopular opinion, but the shift towards clubs trying to be funny on social media is mostly cringe.Fixture reveals were good when only GWS did them.
Now that everyone does them....they're cringe as ****
There’s a fine line between funny and cringe. All depends on who’s running the accounts. There are the GWS of the world (genuinely funny) and then there are the social media accounts which think they are GWS but are actually cringe.Might be an unpopular opinion, but the shift towards clubs trying to be funny on social media is mostly cringe.
I'm unsure if a "schedule reveal" even does anything for me personally. I'd be pretty content with a graphic showing our round by round

I'm confident the brief for 17 clubs a couple of years ago was "Be like GWS"There’s a fine line between funny and cringe. All depends on who’s running the accounts. This is true for a lot of business and government organisations. They’ve figured out that memes and jokes drive up interaction and there are some orgs which do a great job of being very good and topical when it comes to their posts, and then there are ones that are basically “lol so how about airplane food, sucks huh? Here’s a meme about Harambe!”
if all clubs received their 'schedule reveal' by semaphore, it'd be the closest that The Purples have ever got to a flag...I'm unsure if a "schedule reveal" even does anything for me personally. WCE fans - "Gee our club's boring. It's just old knitting grandmas and geriatrics who were old in WW2."
Also WCE fans - "What's this newfangled social media shit? Just send me a .pdf, which I'll get my intern to open because I have NFI how."
So they could do their own episode of The View to discuss the fixture?Or, you know, it could be somewhere in between the cringey 6 minute Shuey bad jokes reel and the bare minimum? Perhaps something as simple as having a few players listing the games and chatting about it would be more than sufficient to satiate your need for clickety click click.
