If Taylor Byrne had been in a stronger CTL team and not forced to play mostly midfield all season for the Rebels he'd be rated a lot higher. He has all the attributes to be an excellent AFL small pressure forward, quick, agile, powerful, high octane pressure, booming left boot and for his size extremely good overhead. No small forward had a better game at the Nationals than his 5 goal bag for Vic Country against Dovaston's Vic Metro.

Tested very well in all tests at the Combine.

He looked pretty good in the couple of his VC games that I watched.

Peucker from SA has something about him too. Speed and a bit of class.

My take on Hamish's comments:

We are very prepared to trade our 2026 1st to move up this year. There's someone we want.

However... "we really like next year's crop of SA draftees" is a lie to retain the value of that pick in any swap.
Cochrane
Van Dyk
Edwards
Patterson
Gordon
Herbert
Webb
Croker
White
Mathew’s-Hampton
Florence
Leys

Only Cochrane & Leys I believe are club tied from this list of SA kids for next year. I expect them to be super competitive again come champs time.

Notable names OOC next year: Davies, Duursma, Wilson, Freijah and Sanders.
Could it be one of those?
Pretty sure Freijah is happy at the Dogs from what I've heard his management are currently in talks with Sam Power re an extension, can't see Dogs not getting a deal done at some point

Imagine if Butters says he wants out and nominates the bulldogs. They will need to cast a player or 2 out to get the draft capital you'd think. So maybe not Freijah, but another bulldog is the one I think.

"They will hold over a list spot to be used in the pre-season draft on Friday where they will look to finally land Brisbane's Callum Ah Chee, with no other clubs doing medicals or requesting information on his nominated financial terms. "

What a draft steal.

you beat me too it. I was going to tag in our favorite pit bull poster on the trade threads - ABAB he might like to stick it to them with this. I recall the brisbane flogs saying other clubs will come in and take him before us..ra ra ra
