Currently watching a Live press conference from Melbourne on the ABC News channel. Vic Premier addressing at the moment but Albo and Gowers, decked in Hawks scarves, lurking in background.

Are we expecting some announcement today?

Edit: Hawks logo in background suggests it's at KCC (or Waverley?). Premier currently talking about social media ban.

Edit 2: No Hawks-related content, unless it was in the earlier part of the press conference that wasn't covered Live.

1) Wasn't pre-season training meant to start today for Years 1-4?
2) Can we expect track-watchers to have as much access to KCC as they did at Waverley?

It was supposed to start today, i would assume it wouldve tied in with the past players function.

Track watchers can still go to training, although the club can request they leace if its a closed session (unlike waverly where it was a public park)

It’s been updated now. Rotated 90 degrees.

Now it doesn’t resemble a lightning bolt or the SS insignia. Perfect

A little bit of trivia... Almost 10 years ago to the day the Swans chose not to match a bid by the Dogs. Dunkley has gone on to win 3 flags. Last night they had the chance to match the Dogs bid again but did not. It will be lol worthy of the same happens with Carmichael.

Swans list manager had a big sook after the draft a few years ago about other clubs bidding early for their academy players. Absolutely love to see it.

I hope this kid makes it, for two reasons:
1) He was a Hawks supporter growing up - maybe we can do a 'Ginni' if he turns out to be as good; and
2) He could become the first footballer of full Indian heritage to play an AFL game - that's a more selfish reason as I have the same heritage.

I'm glad the "full Indian heritage" was specified because he certainly won't be the first part-Indian AFL player. A lot of folk might not be aware that Eagles premiership midfielder Daniel Kerr
