We need to be utilising Barrass as the Pillar, negate his man, intercept where he can but stick to his limitations and we work around him as a backline group. He shouldn't be part of the transition down the ground merely there to start the play only.

I think we do & this is what has put Sicilys game out of kilter. Barrass appears to constantly out mark Sicily when they're both in the same area. Even Weddle has out marked Sic on multiple occasions. I do wonder if this has put his game out a bit as he's not the only contested marking back now?

Battle was free, so you'd do that deal every time.

Barrass has been good - but we spent a LOT to get him. He's older and is a short term option only. Maybe we jumped the gun with that one and overestimated exactly where we were as a side. We should still have two years to make it worthwhile.

I honestly think the loss of Dear/Lewis is hurting more than Day.

We have no structure up forward. We're relying on Chol leading up the line as a bail out option when it's not his forte (and credit to him, he's actually doing quite well).

The problem is even if he does mark the long down the line kick, we have no one else to kick it next. Gunners isn't strong in the contest either.
