Wasn't Ison 22 in the Phantom?
40-45 depending on how many bids come in for other NGA's after him.So if it's 22, what does that leave us with?
BT wouldn't stand a chance. He could barely tell Cuningham from Weitering most games.Surely Swans

If the Phantom was 100% accurate we would be left with 41 and 47 at the end of Night 1.So if it's 22, what does that leave us with?

According to Pommy's draft thingy, it could be around pick 38 - but as you corrently point out, depends on the bids. At worse, should be pick 40.40-45 depending on how many bids come in for other NGA's after him.
Other than the playerIf we do these swaps, why would WC or Richmond even bother to bid on Dean?
They wouldn't gain anything anymore.
Excuse Tigers supporterOther than the player
Rodriguez probably won't be there, good player though and reminds me of Ryan Griffen. So going through Pommy's simulator using the top 30 picks from CT and then using the top 50 rankings from rookie.me to fill out the rest of 30s picks getting to our pick at 40 assuming the * and NM trades happen.
The following list of players according to rookie.me's top 50 rankings would be available.
I've also removed any club tied players:
Talor Byrne
Taj Murray
Riley Onley
Jack Dalton
Fred Rodriguez
Hugo Mikunda
Max Kondogiannis
What are peoples thoughts?
That kind of wording leaves room for us to trade up.although the very pointed comments from the very striking CD in his latest media appearance suggested we’re likely to walk away with Dean and Ison before reassessing what’s left.
We lure Essendon, West Coast, and Richmond to a secluded laneway, pull out a tommy gun and say 'this is a stickup', at which point we force a trade for our 7th, 5th, and 6th rounders respectively that nets us the entire top 6 of the draftGive sus options.
The first retaliatory blow... excellent.Wes Walley might be an option late
It’s been mentioned Dean is currently 194cm tall, hopefully still growingWeiters 196
Dean 193
‘By his own admission, he's somewhat of an in-betweener at 193cm - not quite key position height but not exactly a medium-small.’

I reckon the cutoff for being a tall defender might have to be 195cm![]()
Mor the maryerKondogiannis please.
I haven’t been this excited about a prospect since Tom Anastasopoulos, Jimmy Toumpas… or Mitch Georgiades.
On another note, too many Greeks at Port Adelaide.
Once the draft starts you can acquire more picks. It's ridiculous. Is anyone else concerned with the outcome of the mooted trades? Logistically speaking, pretty sure you can’t enter the draft with more picks than vacancies these days. The trades Cal and others are spruiking have us trading our four picks for five later picks and a future second. I am not sure we can do that, unless there is a plan to trade two of them in to a higher pick. Not sure if live trading gives us a loophole, not going over rules with a fine toothed comb for something that is supposedly imminent.
I like the look of Wes Walley a lot more than Tobyn Murray. For me, there is enough smoke around a small forward that I would be surprised if we didn’t go there. Tobyn Murray, Wes Walley, we were clearly into Dovaston as well. I’d just be surprised if we don’t go there if we take a third pick.
Firstly, we could have had a a top 20 selection and the best KPD in the draft!!
Austin et al expected expected a selection for Dean to be in the range 6 - 8 and Ison to be closer to 30 instead of 20 and planned accordingly, and it looks like we got it badly wrong twice!! If WC don't bid on Dean, Richmond are expected to.... in fact, you rate Dean at 4 and Ison at 16!
We gave up 10 and 22 for 9 (and other selections) so Hawthorn could present 10 and 22 as part of their offer for Merrett... while we figured 9 would be handy because we expected a later bid for Dean, and therefore a live selection in the early teens...
The hard part is accumulating early selections like 10 and 11, not fully utilising them is the disappointing part; perhaps if they chatted with you, we'd be walking away Dean, Ison & a selection in the teens instead of the 30s without too much effort.
I don't consider good planning to be "There could still be a surprise to come yet if things fall our way", even if I hope they do too.
I do agree on the path the club are taking however it doesn't mean that they could execute better at times - we have a lot of ground to make up
Dean is going to be our version on Birchal.Weiters 196
Dean 193

It reflects that the draft and the currency of picks - as well as the opportunities they unlock - is far more fluid while the draft is in progress. That rule resets when the draft kicks off. You just can’t have more picks than spots entering the draft.![]()
