Incredible the reaction from Clubs, Media and supporters to the draft after our club was widely mocked for even suggesting things needed to change as early as this time last year.
Exactly, we either trade up for the JPou, Ludo, NHH group, or we settle for what we were going to do (ignoring swaps/sliders) with our late picks and get Allan or Davis.Well, if Ison, WC’s Williams, Max King or McCarthy aren’t bid prior to their club’s next picks (which aren’t far away in most cases), then we might not move too much further. Hopefully 34, 35, and 38 will go, at the least. We say it every year, but given the lack of depth this year, it’s hard to see any from that group of sliders lasting to 35.

Great postDont like Geelong fc
Gotta pander to the neppo babies..7th on the ladder gets the 2nd pick in the draft. Well done AFL.
If I remember rightly, and I am younger than you Joffa. Anthony Harvey was considered to have the potential to be as good as Robert. However injury got the better of him.Why is everyone so hot on Pou? Cause we have his brother?
Remember Rob Harvey's brother?
He's got strong AFL attributes and a high upside...very different player to his brotherWhy is everyone so hot on Pou? Cause we have his brother?

Melbourne at pick 30 a chance to bid on FincherLooks safe now that we will match the bid on Fincher.
Reckon Geelong fc might be the one at pick 33.
Think they like bidding on our nga's, re- Windhager
Then I reckon they may pick Tom Blamires.
At least they acknowledge our part in raising the issues.![]()

That's why we can't trade a pick in thats in between 30 & 40.Melbourne at pick 30 a chance to bid on Fincher

I'd go hard for 29 and a future with 2027 F1 to get JPou. Accept the bid for Fincher and hope we can use the change and 2027 thirds to get a pick for Ludowyke.
Well would you look at that!! It seems that until others get kicked in the balls on draft night, they don't seem to understand that getting kicked in the balls on draft night is not a good thing!! I think the fact that Melbourne got two top 10 picks from the Suns for Petracca and yet the Suns ended up with picks 2 & 5 while Melbourne ended up with picks 11 & 12 or whatever on the night, is the most special irony of it all !![]()

He was smaller than banger, I don’t really remember him having injury issues. If I remember rightly, and I am younger than you Joffa. Anthony Harvey was considered to have the potential to be as good as Robert. However injury got the better of him.
Crazy not to take Fincher imo.You would have thought that a key forward would be Melbourne's priority, but they are all over the shop with their recruiting.
If we are true to our word we wont match the bid which will be disappointing. I am drawn to the idea of these worthy NGA kids ending up at the Saints. Melbourne probably see Fincher as a replacement for Judd McVee which is understandable.
Hopefully the club have some surprises in store for us, to soften losing Fincher if it occurs?
Where does one find what picks were used to match the bids? Like club xx used picks 34, 37, 42 to select player x at pick 12?
Suns not only got 2 & 5. They got four academy first rounders, on top of giving up two top tens for Petracca. That is a total f***** joke. They finished 6th and including the Flanders trade they had 6 first rounders. Yep the draft is all about equalisation.Well would you look at that!! I think the AFL public finally got it last night, and I'm enjoying the salt! The fact is that the AFL is driven by focus groups and opinion polls and this will rattle their cage. The AFL media sycophants can spew whatever tripe they want, but the average AFL fan looks at ladder positions and draft position numbers and the cognitive dissonance doesn't fly. Substantial change is coming.........
