Fair - but we need a lightning quick small pressure forward, elite running half back wing with ball skills and another big inside mid to replace Mrouch.

Happy to get good forwards but a lead up ~190cm forward to me is just underwhelming. I hope Marsh is good but I'm just being realistic.

My point RE Ah Chee was not that he is replacing Tex like for like, but for balance of our forward line I'd rather he play as the third medium/mobile forward as opposed to a 'third tall'.

We saw in finals 3 talls doesn't work.

Brisbane clearly disagree owing to their FA pickup of Oscar Allen.

Most of the talk around 3 talls is jumping at shadows. The reason it's not normalised is its damn hard to get into a list situation where you have three good tall forwards.

Thing is, outside of the small forward weve got guys on our list capable, Maffew just doesnt pick them.

I mean Rankine and Rachele are elite smalls as well.
