Newcastle v Man City will be an interesting game.

Newcastle are noticeably a better side at home than they are away.

International breaks tend to throw form into a bit of a mixer. No Dan Burn for Newcastle which is a big loss. By the time City come back after the break, Haaland will be confident after qualifying Norway for the World Cup.

Thinking the North London derby will see alot of cards. Spurs top tier players tend to be non-English, whereas I think Arsenal have a bit more English players compared to their cross town rivals. Dont think there are any Spurs players in the current England national squad? or even the one prior international qualifier?

Spence is in the England squad

Arsenal used to be spot the Englishman.

Didn't Spence get a call up for one of em

As a Man Utd fan hoping we come back well and ready to go against Everton back at home. Need to get back to winning ways and this is the exact type match to stamp our authority and get back on the front foot.

Such a shame these days that away NLD's always start with a chorus of home fans lying to us all in song.
Lacks the authenticity of derby days gone by.
Glad you agree that singing Champions of Europe for winning the second string trophy is a bit tinpot

Some of us get to make the choice to sing that, even West Ham and Ipswich. But not in N5 :(

Singing North London forever as a South London club though. 11/10 cringe.

There's not a football fan alive that was around when the club was based in Woolwich.

Wouldn't be like a Spurs fan to live in the past though.

Any club that claims to be Champions of Europe when they aren't, that's 11/10 cringe in my mind. You don't hear Leeds fans claiming they're Champions of England, because they're not delusional.

Not something you'll ever have to worry about mind you.

Unfortunately some of us have to play against good teams in Europe, we don't all get to Bradbury a trophy against a bunch of Alphabet FC teams
Such a misplaced arrogant response, as if your pitiful club is too good for anything but the best. You're European minnows.

You had your chance to win the UEL but were too shit. When us, Ipswich, Liverpool, Wolves were competing for these trophies in the 70s-80s you were hardly missing out because of European Cup participation, but merely not being good enough to get into either competition.

Hilarious watching gooners turn their nose up at trophies they've never been good enough to win in favour of a better trophy they'll never be big enough to win. No club has as many delusional fans as Arsenal.

Number 1 rated side in Europe at the moment, we'll see how this ages

Weird round this one -

Marquee game -
Arsenal v Tottenham (prime opportunity for the Gunners to make a statement or Spurs to turn this into a title race again)

No compelling games this round but a heap of watchables -

Burnley v Chelsea (just feels like a danger game for the Blues)
Bournemouth v West Ham (Hammers showing signs of life recently)
Wolves v Crystal Palace (Be interesting to see if the Eagles can get back to their best form)
Fulham v Sunderland (Black Cats should be almost everyone's (I see you Toons) second team atm)
Newcastle v Manchester City (Can Newcastle stand up to a resurgent City?)
Leeds v Aston Villa (Leeds have been a decent side at Elland Road)
Manchester United v Everton (hoping for a dreary 0-0 draw :p)

Meh -
Brighton v Brentford (should be a decent game but it doesn't seem like there's much at stake for these two middle of the road teams who will stay up but probably be out of Europe contention) EDIT - Upgraded this to watchable based on new info.
Liverpool v Nottingham Forest (trying to be unbiased and this screams the Reds shithousing their way to a 1-0 victory)
