Never in doubt. Can't believe he was still available.

I concur with Davo on Ollie being more of a forward than Mid. In due time we will realise he is a steal given how he competes in fwd half & kicks goals and then mix it up in the middle.

He now has the fire to prove many detractiors wrong and can play 2 positions which means he is more likely to get a debut sooner than later.

Word on the street is Ollie's a bit of a FIGJAM.

I don't care as long as he can back it up. We've got a few in our 22 that have headf*cked the public.

Got plenty of talent and we're one of the best in the business at letting that talent flourish.

Back yourself in for a big preseason Ollie. World is your oyster.

My Son has a huge smile on his face and recons his summer is now going to be filled with Joy. - He's turning 16 in a month.

He was disappointed last night that we didn't pick him claiming we missed an opportunity to belt the living suitcases out of all opposition with a Jai and Ollie combo.

I said to him, "I don't think he's that type of player son"
He replied - "I could be wrong, but I don't think opposition teams care what you think dad - look at the size of him - he's a UNIT"

At the u16s Sharp(hbf) and Greeves(kpf/med forw) were head and shoulders above the rest and the 2 best kids, they also went 1 and 2 (winner and runner up)at the Larke Medal which is for the best players at the u18s champs both playing midfield, very under rated, love the pick, he has looked good in midfield but probably lacks a bit of pace to play there at the AFL level, but he adapts to new positions well it seems

WE WON THE DRAFT

This is a potential steal.

Greeves has weaknesses to his game. He’s not very quick, and his defensive application is lacking. Despite his frame, he’ll also need to build up core strength to play in the guts because he’s more a receiver than an inside brute.

But I feel that sometimes prospects have their strengths overlooked.

Greeves has good disposal for his size both by hand and foot. He’s strong when resting forward, able to take marks and hit the scoreboard. Having 35 disposals and kicking four goals in a Prelim shows he’s capable of massive performances.

If he can work hard to improve his weaknesses, he’ll be AFL quality. More than happy to take the punt as a rookie.

After being touted as a top 10 pick and bonafied first round lock. He slid, the reasons might be not clear and sure will hear lots of reasons. What is clear is he’s very talented, whilst he may have deficiencies with his defensive running, speed etc he makes up for with his ability both in the midfield and forward. Extremely strong in the contest both ground level as a receiver and growing with his frame, also in the air, he has good skills and damaging forward of centre. Lots to look forward to.

So pleased for the young man, he would have gone to bed a shattered kid last night.
You know what, though? Some kids need it. It'd have been a good kick in the ass for him to know that it's not guaranteed, and that he actually does have to try.

Reminds me of stringer, talented but looks to leave a lot on the field
