I think they should restrict the power of the modern bats. It sems to me that mishits go for 6 too often, and the game devolves to a form of Baseball. Let them bat with the match sticks the Bradman's and Hutton's used to use.

The famous (to me at least) 2015 photo of Barry Richards holding up the bat he scored 325 in a day with compared to Warner's bat at the time.

His shield form has been very good and only got a double century 4 tests ago. Unless he's injured, he's worth persisting with till we find a fitting replacement to open the batting for Australia -- as there are none

Head is only a stopgap - insane innings aside - but a top seven of the below gives a really solid mix, provides a better fielding unit and another bowling option.

Yep, give the modern batsmen a 60/70s era bat and they would struggle.

The scary thing is that if they had combined carbon and wood bats would be even more OP.
