Best day of my life, not sure what I'll do when an Eagles executes a basic skill on a Sunday afternoon and isn't called a good boy.

Derms is awesome. He has a nice pleasant voice to listen to. Jordan Lewis is my worst, because the tone of his voice is so abrasive to my ears. I'm trying to enjoy the game and it feels like he's low key yelling at me.

Why Jordan why? Just relax and speak like a human.

He did love the game and as others have said had no particular issues with us so called it as it is.

He was loquacious but he holds a genuine love for the game and gets excited about little positive things for players. It was sometimes tedious but mostly endearing.

However he doesn't yell enough, make constant groans, or have any catchphrases so he had to go. We need more raised voice crescendo sound bites like we get from elite callers such as Huddo, Howie and Dwayne who really know what the audience wants.

I don't have a problem with Derm. The commentator i hate the most is Anthony Hudson because of his bias against non - Vic teams, especially us. It is made obvious by his suggesting every 2 minutes that there was an obvious free kick against us that wasn't paid and implying every free kick paid to us wasn't really there. I think the ratio of free kick decisions he disputes in games involving us would be at a bare minimum 10 to 1 in favour of the other team. Maybe even 20 to 1 plus.

And that bogan bird from Fox Footy is awful also. I forget her name. I have to turn the commentary off when we get her as a commentator. And obviously everybody hates her. Every weekend i see her name trending on Facebook with threads going on for many pages complaining about her ruining their watching of their team that weekend.

Just talking Cricket Commentary - where's Alan McGilvray when you need him?

He was so easy to listen to. It was a loss to the commentary box when he left this earth.

To be honest, I preferred him over a lot of others. He seemed much more knowledgeable and unbiased than most of them.

Love Derm. Sure, there is a touch of the crazy old uncle about him but he was genuine, knowledgeable, extremely positive (and to the Eagles). Also very polite and friendly when you almost bump into him whilst you are carrying coffees on the street.

Derm is one of the better commentators, knows footy and relatively unbiased. Brayshaw is awful just screens, Huddo is biased and Kelli Underwhelming knows next to nothing about the game.

Dennis was the best.

While his slide down the draft order may have hurt his rising star odds, I’m bullish that Josh Lindsay will make an instant impact in the west.

He’ll be fed the footy at every opportunity, and will be pivotal in turning defence into offence, slingshotting the ball forward with precision. I have no doubt he’ll be trusted with kick-out duty from game 1, and Mini will have his magnet circled on the board as the ‘main kicker’ from the backline.

Alongside Tom McCarthy, who is set for a move higher up the ground, the club has added some serious class to its list which will aid the retention of possession.

With kickers like T-Mac and JL, McQualter’s fast, attacking game-style will flow smoother, hurting teams consistently with fast and precise transition to offence.
