Not as though Kingston Heath would be giving his driver any more work? I’m in the clubhouse tomorrow. Reckon I might run with, “I mean, he’s not wrong” when the topic comes up.My mate overheard Rory telling Colsearts the other day that "there's hardly anywhere to hit driver out here".
That would go some way to explaining the backhander he gave RM yesterday.

Can only guess the thinking is that non-golf fans might benefit from a familiar voice like Speed and Huddo. The former doesn't bother me as much as the latter.Cannot stand how Australian broadcasters have this fetish for inserting random commentators into sports they've got no idea about. Speed and Hudson add zero to this coverage except making it obvious they've got no knowledge of the game.
Could easily have left this to the actual experts.
Maybe I'm a psycho but I love watching the pro's struggleRoyal Melbourne loves making their course unplayable and it's unwatchable.
I know this course intimately and it's like playing on a snooker table when they set it up like this.
Not sure what you mean.Royal Melbourne loves making their course unplayable and it's unwatchable.

A bit un-necessary… but KH is a bloody good course, so it’s not a crazy call.Rory won't endear himself to RMGC members with his comment today at the presser that its not Melbourne's best course
Yep and as soft as you will ever play them after the recent rains. Not sure what you mean.
The greens are pretty slow by past tournament standards. Apparently neither cut nor rolled this morning due to the expected wind.

You like Richmond too.I like it

Carl Spackler has been sharpening mower blades all day. They will set him free before round 2.Its very playable today
Think that was a combo of harsh conditions but more importantly a really bad pinI’d love to see an outsider win it, a local battler, even an overseas battler… None of ‘em are battlers, they’re all good golfers but anyone other than those in the Top 10.
Anyone remember about 20 years ago or thereabouts when they couldn’t even mark their bell on the 10th I think it was because the wind would blow the stationary ball off the green (billiard table)?
Precisely why they didn't cut the greens last night.Think that was a combo of harsh conditions but more importantly a really bad pin
