Surely we cant roll the useless campaigners in 3 days again. They'll have to show some ticker at some point

I say the same thing about my partner, surely there's enough handbags and shoes. Yeah but there's not. I don't trust these campaigners one bit, and they seem hellbent in picking Pope and co again..they don't even get Doggett's party pies to smack this time

I reckon Baz has a Ray Finkle/laces out room at his house for Mitch Starc. Hes ruined every sporting dream hes had even when he moved to the other side of the world

Yeah but how many moral wins has Baz got? Double figures yet?

Conspiracy theorist in me says we are getting 3 roads for the next test. Like I mean roads. 14/15 series vs India level of roads

Yeah i think they'll want some bums on seats after the first 2. I still have faith England can throw their wickets away when they are in control on any surface

If my road theory plays true, I think half of England's wickets will be caught in the deep. Mostly at the MCG. Ground will be too big for them

I tend to deter to Carey a bit here, he's said the day matches at least in Shield the ball has weirdly done more. I know Shield wickets are not test but I doubt it is a road

Catches in the deep on large ovals are recorded as "moral 6s" in the score sheet

And dropped catches by Duckett are counted as half wickets

Perhaps our domestic bowlers are better than the Poms. :tearsofjoy: . This is probably a stupid question that ive never really considered but do they use the same ball in shield and test cricket here?

Surely Boland is rested for The G.
Cummings for Boland, Kellaway for Inglis, Head back to 5.

You think they're going to rest a Victorian for Boxing Day?
Ok.
I read it as "rested (in preparation) for boxing day."

Khawaja should not play. He is clearly losing his eye which makes him a liability opening the batting and fielding. We have far superior options in the middle order that Khawaja.

I’m not sold on Inglis but surely he deserves another crack in the middle order with Head to open. Head opening with Weatherald has been a real success for 2 tests.

Uzzie isn’t the answer going forward. Time to rip the bandaid off and thank him for his services

The only justification, strategically, I can see for Khawaja playing is that he can potentially bat long. I'd actually then have him in at 5 with the instruction to bat as long as possible in the heat and grind the English bowlers into the dust.

To be clear, I personally don't think this is enough of a reason but it may be what they're thinking.
