I reckon if he played all season in the SANFL. He’d go close to winning the Magarey Medal.
He'd definitely be one of the top players in the SANFL there's no doubt about that.

Mead's big issue is for some reason he's never played like he belongs at AFL level, he probably has it in him, but for some reason he plays like someone with a shit tonne of self doubt, and someone that just can't raise his intensity to the level required, meaning simple errant handballs, fumbles, poor kicks, as he just can't flick that high intensity AFL switch. He wouldn't be the first player that hasn't lifted to the next level despite being at the top of the SANFL tree.

At SANFL level that problem isn't there and his natural skill and ability are clearly up to the level.

The players we've traded in or could still bring in via SSP are all shrewd moneyball gets IMO and complement what was already on our list well. To me, Carr and Cripps have shown good list management skills in how they've gone about things these past few months.
Cripps is building back up a lot of goodwill in my books this offseason. Way less desperation in how we’ve gone about it, at a time where we have to be careful balancing the players tied to us in future drafts.

He plays in the afl as the player he is.. no good. If he plays regularly this year we are in trouble.. he’s a plodder

Yes because he’s not trying to make silk from a sows ear like donuts demanded for 10 years

I'm of the opinion that the List Management have done a very good job in spite of Hinkley and I am very keen to see what a decent coach can do with the squad he has built.

Rohan Smith, what a legend.

Now there's a face you don't see to often.

Zakk Wylde is Josh Carr confirmed ;)

Will Brodie will be a somewhat interesting watch this year.

He puts a bit of pressure on Wines and Drew.

He's obviously a favourite of Carr.
He doesn't seem to be a favroute of Longmuir.
Went to the WAFL and kept up his big stats.
Longmuir couldn't find another role around the ground.
Has the frame of Drew being a tall and lanky and not quick with the possession rate of Wines.

With Wines out, he's going to get a couple of games to see what he can do.

Should be interesting to watch.

Selection discussion

Carr worked with him at Freo, so he wouldn't have got him over if it was a show stopper.
