I have just viewed the clip of the event which took place in Minneapolis, Minnesota. It is a horrible thing to watch. The woman screaming was, obviously, a professional agitator, and the woman driving the car was very disorderly, obstructing and resisting, who then violently, willfully, and viciously ran over the ICE Officer, who seems to have shot her in self defense. Based on the attached clip, it is hard to believe he is alive, but is now recovering in the hospital. The situation is being studied, in its entirety, but the reason these incidents are happening is because the Radical Left is threatening, assaulting, and targeting our Law Enforcement Officers and ICE Agents on a daily basis. They are just trying to do the job of MAKING AMERICA SAFE. We need to stand by and protect our Law Enforcement Officers from this Radical Left Movement of Violence and Hate!

Trump not only saying that you'll be protected if you're an ICE agent, he's saying his the ruler of the country and what he says, goes.

Institutions will have to follow or clash. Will he eventually send the military against (as Stephen Miller likes to call them on national TV) the extreme terrorist left if they decided to protest?

This is consistent with an imperial/strongman model of authority, not democratic governance.

The woman was driving away like I've seen a 100 times someone drive away in a car park, and then was shot three times in the face, and refused medical treatment.

This was done IN BROAD DAYLIGHT, and in front of a crowd. The Dictator has given his seal of approval. It's normalised and as the threshold for lethal action drops, history is unambiguous on this, radicalisation will increase.

Just watched that video of the shooting of that woman three times to the face. That was blatant MURDER and he condones it god help America

Smacks of an untrained agency having powers they shouldn't have. Police, actual police should be there enforcing public compliance. Ice should not in anyway shape or form have the extent of powers they do. As usual Trump has no ****ing idea, ****s up everything he touches and half arses it. No wonder everything turns to shit.

In recent years we have seen local law enforcement having to ‘lower’ recruitment standards (due to massive military needs), resulting in police officers that clearly lack the temperament and/or intellect to be on the streets, armed.

The ICE agents are Police Department rejects - without the requisite training and supervision/leadership.

Oh I fully agree that the Democrats have failed to represent a whole host of people, Trump has failed them too but he at least gives a voice to the issue they’re having and says the system is failing them.

That he then goes on to take the system further away from helping those people is the problem.

I dopn't think itas a problem, I think its good. At least in the long term. The US has suffered a slow collapse for decades.

There needs to be some radicalisation to challenge it and Trump will provide that by selling out the poor section of his base to his rich sugar daddies.

Watching the footage at first I was of the opinion it was self defence because the car started driving towards the ICE agent in front of the car. I which case I was thinking it was self defence.

However, watching the video again a second time it became clear that the ICE agent started shooting AFTER he jumped out of the way of the vehicle and no longer in a position of danger. Making this murder.

Rules-based order only holds up if the stakeholders follow the rules and agreed parameters. For 80 years those parameters have certainly been pushed and prodded - and I've been very critical of those actions regardless of who did it. But this is different. The parameters are being ignored, with little geopolitical resistance (yet), as the stakeholders try to work out what's going on.

In terms of the average person's response - I think some people do indeed enjoy the anarchy and watching the world burn - at least while it's not on their doorstep.
