Lesnar elimination also nothing. Just a slight interruption to the yeet fest jn Jey's entrance. Laughable.
Femi should have eliminated him. then do a match at WM and Femi wins that too.

probably saving it for WM next year in Saudi from all accounts.
Unless the story is epic and warrants it, at this very early stage I can’t see it. Not to say they won’t do it, but I just dont think everyone has to end up a world champion. And with respect to a great performer, I dunno how many times you can put Sami on the poster as the headline act after a WrestleMania

Or wait longer and Gunther eliminate him which would help their match at WM if they're to have it.

Just an absolute cluster f!ck of nonsense and missed opportunities. In a not even half full stadium.

Lol i'm watching the mens rumble now in the front room, windows open

Kid just walked past during Jey's entrance and started yeeting

Femi: I loved the way it started. So dominant and looked a star. His exit and the payoff for that quality work wasn’t rewarded for whatever reason, with a sorta nothing elimination.

Lesnar: Should have eliminated Femi in grand fashion, or vica versa. I’d have loved him to be the last two with Reigns. A continuation of a long time feud. I’d have saved a Reigns and Gunther confrontation for a future time.

LA Knight: Preferably it would have been the Vision standing tall, even as lone active entrants, and LA Knight enters to clean house. Whatever happened, it fell flat and Knight got lost in the shuffle and missed the payoff return I reckon.

Paul: Feel like his star power is hidden in the Vision, just being a sidekick. Unless he’s involved in the masked man shenanigans, I hope he’s outta there fast and onto bigger things. Nothing special for him in the Rumble.

Williams: Massive dropped ball. I’d rather him have had the time they gave Evans in the match. He screams star, looks like a star and should be treated as such. I wish he got that treatment.

Orton: Just there, like usual, for star power alone. I really hope he can have a relevant and deep feud again before his time is up.

Gunther: I can see why they put him 30 and why he came runners up, no damage against a mega star like Reigns. Even enhances his legend a tad. I wished they’d have held off their interaction until a later date but I’m sure something will be cooking in future.

Reigns: A worthy winner and as I said earlier, WWE is crying out for regular Roman on TV. So many fueds he can return to and so many fueds yet to be explored. Looks as if he’s heading towards Punk but I can also see Rhodes winning back the title and it going that way for a third and final battle.

Pretty much what I expected to happened, once again pretty meh show but I’m fine with both rumble winners. Curious to see what the championship matches are going to look like at mania.

I don't think I've ever had so many questions (likely many without answers) arising from a wrestling event in my life.

AJ putting the gloves back on, to me, absolutely signified that he wasn't retiring. I was so convinced that this is what we were meant to believe that I ended up being stunned that he wasn't in the Rumble match in the end. What else was putting the gloves back on meant yo signify if it wasn't the wolf of wall street 'I ain't funkin leaving!?'

Why did they build a stadium from scratch for this show? Why didn't they just use the existing ones?

I thought it was pretty obvious that the lights just made it look like there were empty seats, but the stadium was actually full, no? A lot of people in here seem to think it was only 30/40% full?

Why didn't anybody just shove Jey Uso off the top rope when he 'ran it back'? That's honestly the most suspension of disbelief I've had to use in ages.

Did I see an offical card a few days ago with an extra womens match involving Stephanie Vacquer in it, or am I just going crazy?

Am I the only one who didn’t know Sami Zayn was muslim?

Is all of this my fault because I'm a full time AEW viewer and only a casual WWE viewer?

they kept framing it as "WWE career" in the build.

no, maybe you're confusing it with the announced RAW match of Stephanie vs Raquel in a street fight?

Possibly. It may have been a fan page post. It just looked like the design style the WWE were using, so I thought it was official.

the Ze-bros explode!!!

funny how Roman does an interview saying the creative needs to be better, then he wins the Rumble
Heard some snippets of that interview and it was just insanely tone deaf.

I know it was supposed to be (mostly) in character, but to say shit like the young wrestlers can't get themselves over regardless of the opportunities they're given, when it took him a DECADE, some phenomenal writing and a heap of sheer luck to even have the fans accept him. So lame.

if I had a million guesses, I wouldn't have picked their gear/look was inspired by Sylvester and Tweety

also **** that ring announcer, I don't need a male tryhard version of Alicia Taylor.
Holy ****, he was so bad.
The fake Bruce Buffer breathiness made me want to mute.

Also they did three "tag-team breakup" spots in the one match (JD, Flair/Bliss, Kabuki Warriors).
It's like the producers didn't talk at all.

But soon as it's pointed out, I see it. Ripley needed more white to make it more obvious, imo

Looked like very few were there for the women's match and then the place got much fuller as the show went on.

Just went and had a look again.
I think the set up of the seats with those stupid square LEDs made everything look very uniform giving the appearance of empty seats (especially during in ring angles).
But then they cut to the wide shots for entrances and you can see that there are people sitting in the 'empty' seats.
More people filtered in during the night like with all Saudi shows, but it wasn't really empty at the beginning.
They also turned the house lights up for the mens rumble.
