Disappointed he didn't get out there today. Must be still being managed?
Saw in another thread someone overhead him say he's fine, just held back as a precaution. Corr seemed to imply the same on the commentary. He did a full session pre game with Wardlaw and others.

I overheard the same thing from him directly out on the ground after the game. So that answered my question haha

Seems like he'll be playing at some level next week.

Wonder if he'll get some minutes in the AFL or VFL team this Friday?
Surely he goes straight in to his rightful position.

If he makes it through 3 quarters against the Dees, take him off and rest him, and have him concentrating on the power. He fundamentally changes our side instantly, both in attack but especially in defence.

It's a no brainer.

Goater (and BG) would be a huge plus for us, especially with archer going down. let’s hope their luck has changed for the better. good to hear he is back on the park.
Is this copied & pasted from last season?

May be a stupid question, but are there extra bench spots for these pre-season hit-outs against other clubs?

Anyone know if Goater played VFL praccy matches this week? Anyone get updates minutes and position he played in the game?

I think a couple more VFL practice matches to go before our VFL season kicks-off on 28th March.

Suspect (and is looking like atm) Goater will be a gradual build-up in the VFL, given his injury history, but you'd think he needs to get a serious look in, latest by Late May/Mid-June, in the seniors this season. Else he will be delisted at season's end.

Presume he still has something to offer us on the wing/HBF else club would not have given him a contract extension for this season.

Hilarious luck that all of our most explosive athletes have been constantly injured.
I have brought this up before, Collingwood had terrible luck with this. The year KW comes to us they have better run and win the flag. Obviously its a team that oversee strength and conditioning, and it could just be rotten luck, but we need something to change. I can't remember the last time we looked like the Swans last night. Explosive and running on top of the ground late in games

It's actually insane how much bad luck our second round draft picks have had with injury over the years. Sam Wright, Kieran Harper, Aaron Black, Tom Curran, Ben Jacobs, Mason Wood, Ed Vickers-Willis, Dan Nielson, Mitch Hibberd, Declan Watson, Will Walker, Charlie Comben, Flynn Perez, Josh Goater, Miller Bergman, Brayden George and Blake Thredgold all had major injuries that affected their development or cut their career short.
