Well, no

They nearly equaled your entire score in the with what they put on in the second half
Collingwood managed one great quarter against Brisbane. Pretty similar to Geelong being on top of Richmond in 2019-2020 finals before being overwhelmed and outplayed in the 2nd half. The old Pies upped their intensity and quality in the 2nd quarter but besides that were thoroughly outplayed.

Well yes.

It was 9.2 Pies to Lions 8.7 if you ignore Q3.

No shit, they scored 7 goals in Q3.

It is why it is redundant of people to ignore the full game, and only isolate small components of it.

Was a free kick every day of week
However lions were getting on top after HT and everything suggests would have ended up winning
Agree..for the most part.

The Lions burst out of the blocks in Q3, 4 goals in first 10 mins to take the lead.

Q4 Pies had stopped the bleeding, we actually breaking even at contest and clearance and Lions hadn't scored a goal yet in Q4 when Elliott incident occurred.

An Elliott free and he would have been having a shot to make it 11 goals to 11 goals, (Pies back within a kick) with 10 mins left and crowd roaring.

Shit happens, the free wasn't called and Brisbane went down the other end and goaled, 12 point turn-around and Lions out by 18 and quickly put the game to bed with another few quick goals.

They hit the scoreboard nearly every second time they entered fwd 50.
Sure, you held them in the second quarter but they worked it out, you guys were spent and you couldn’t stop them.
I’m not gonna go on about the incident with Elliot. I hope they can make decisions like that this season when it matters.

Brisbane are the bench mark and at the end of the season last year there was daylight to the next best.

It was a clear and obvious free to those with functioning eyesight, I don’t think it’s too much to expect them to be paid in the biggest stakes game of our season.
It was a non-free to anyone who actually understands the rule.

Amazing that apparently this was a clear free yet Toby Greens head being ripped off in the prelim Daicos diving Daniel’s head first into the ground weren’t.

Hard to be objective when the media fluffs your club so much they ignore criminally obvious frees against your star players but screams bloody murder when a non-free isn't paid to your club.

Understanding the rule isn’t your issue here. It’s the front on contact you seem to imagine is him cleanly punching the ball. Which he does not.
Again, that's not the rule, so you clearly don't understand it.

He flushed the ball, btw.

He didn’t flush it in the slightest, there is considerable contact
He hit the ball and only ever had eyes for it and didn't drag arms, thus not a free.

Go and read the rules then come back.

IMO
Eyes on the ball.
He didn’t disadvantage him.
The ball wasn’t there to mark because he had spoiled the ball.
Contact happened after that.
