From a cracking family. Good athletes at anything they try. Great people.

Would've been NGA eligible I believe if we still had/have the academy down there?
We have the Tassie NGA academy for one final year this year

But this bloke qualifies as a crosscoder cat b rookie who we can take now

ABOUT TIME

Brady finally learnt what a cat b rookie is
I'm backing you on this one.

Unlike NGA it's a completely free hit from a draft collateral pov.

Interesting he chose not to go to Geelong or Poorta as father-son where his dad Shane played.

Beveridge confirms at the 13 min mark we're closing in on a deal for Brewer. The Snoz has been in Idaho scouting him, apparently. He also confirms roos_fanatic08's point - he played for our NGA alongside McKercher and Sanders in our under 12s Tassie squad. Supposed to be arriving at Arden St in the next fortnight.

"These are the clubs out there going to be swinging their money. North Melbourne has made it clear to agents out there that they have money to spend and they are going to use it this year. They have been in the mix for players in the past. If they get going on the field, we'll see some real attraction there as a destination. With a promising season ahead, they should be right in the mix for a few key players. I see them having huge money to spend and I can see them doing that this year"

For a long while, the excuse for not signing a Cat B rookie was the lack of development resources available.

With our list-size being cut by two this year, you had to wonder if that excuse would still hold up. It looks like the club agrees it doesn't, and is finally taking the chance at a free hit.

Nostradamus did enough complaining for all of us, but it was always odd that every club has listed a Cat B rookie in the last year except us.

Hopefully we can get 8-10 wins and be really appealing like the saints somehow were in the offseason
