Have Richmond passed North and west coast

If you love Trainor based on stats that were massively padded with a bunch of kick ins and using the ball horribly (statistically 4th worst on ground for ball use) just imagine how you'll rate Trainor if he finishes top 5 twice in your B&F by the end of 2028. That would have him level with Hough.

Trainor clearly has talent. It sort of staggers me that you were playing proven spuds like Brown, Trezise and Ralphsmith ahead of him.

How about we wait until he can hold his spot in a wooden spoon contender before rubbishing another young player who has played really solid footy for multiple years now?
Again, read it slowly. I said it if were an Eagles player.

Bloody impressive win by the Eagles. 9 players under 21, lose your best mature player (Yeo) in the second quarter and still find a way to win away from home. Great to see Waterman back and Kelly looking reinvigorated in a competitive team. Expect the kids to tire but with the talent they've shown this season is a massive tick so far.

North might be 2-1 but gee they looked poor for a lot of the game against Essendon. The team still looks very disjointed. You'd hope by now they could dominate a younger, worse team like the Bombers but I guess a win is a win.

The Tigers look a bit of a mess. In conditions that should suit their slow midfield it was only competitive early because of Freo's awful kicking and Taranto having an absolute monster first half. It could've been 100+ in low scoring conditions in the end if Freo had kicked straight.

They desperately need some of the more highly rated youngsters in cause it's hard to overstate how badly the 22-25 year olds are going. All of them play ultra peripheral roles and struggle for the most part. Banks looked the best of them at the start of this year but he's really struggled.

The tigers went and drafted key position players. These traditionally take longer to come along. But, they add in a few gun mids this year and next, they will hopefully come good at a similar time.

This is the opposite of North, who kept drafting mids/smalls, and then thought about getting some key position players. Their mids/smalls then start coming good but their key position players are years away.

Tiger's could turn around quite quickly if they add some talented mids (get Hotton/Smillie fit).

It's North i fear for.

You said Patrick Retschko was a smokey for the rising star. We've heard all about Jasper Alger's VFL performances.

And you think West Coast fans overrate their players cause they don't accept proven solid performers like Hough and Ginbey are spuds?

The delusion is off the scale😂😂😂

Just quitely. Not the week to be talking up Hough.....

Though he is a a very good player for his role. Normally.

One Vfl performance from Alger. Don't make stuff up.
No one said Ginbey or Hough were spuds.

Your obsession with Richmond is so strong you've now resorted to fan boying the Eagles so you can talk shit in this thread to go with the many other Richmond threads you obsess over 👍

Not sure if you've noticed how many of them are inured atm...

(I'm sure you have, this is just another sly way to knock the tigers).

I had a look on your board and you're right.

It's Shanahan they're calling a spud over there 😂

I'll be fair and say it looks like the board crazies doing it though.

Whole thread seems to be about how West Coast have the superior young talent, and Richmond's wins are all meaningless.

Got some bloke saying the young talent isn't comparable only a couple of pages back. True Eagles bloke actually rated our young talent higher than the eagles which is interesting. Eagles just have all their top picks playing.

Both clubs have suffered injuries over the last 3 years.

The whole thread?

You missed the first 3/4s of it with the Tigers posters chuffed and boasting about how well the club did in 2025 and how crap the Eaglea are?

They were pretty vocal on just how good the rebuild was going and how the Tigers rebuild has passed the woeful Eagles efforts.

Plenty stuck in the boot.

Now they look foolish.

I admit seeing Richmond fans say unfathomably dumb stuff is one of my guilty pressures. It is lots of fun.

There was this one time one of them said West Coast fans were delusional for thinking Shanahan was a chance for the rising star. Then threw up Retschko as a possible winner. You must admit that's some pretty funny shit😂

The best thing to do is to not play AFL. That way you can delude yourself into believing your 2nd best young player just isn't playing AFL yet and that's what your problems are entirely

Logging off when your team is struggling to win games is soft . Stay around for the bad times too I say . They make the good times even better in the end

Legit 3 of the best 5 for the game were those u21 too in Reid, Shanahan and Duursma too . They carried us to the win as opposed to your Prestia, Lynch, Taranto like trio .

Its the main difference everyone wants to ignore. We had no chance but to throw these guys to the wolves last year but it's accelerated their development too . Something that Tigers should look to be doing

Tigers at the very start of another rebuild.
No mess as you would like to think.

Three premierships with players all at the same group will do that.

Guy got pantsed on the weekend. If he is in the top 5 its worse than I thought
Are we are judging off 1 round or 3 games or 12-24mths?
We should have beaten Carlton no doubt however we have come up against 2 likely top 4 teams in dockers and suns and went with them for a half.
You have beaten North and power, good wins and congrats however I wouldnt be popping the champagne corks just yet.

Thats pretty sad bro.
Never a bigger melt in Aussie Rules history than Steve Hocking changing rules when studying Richmond after we beat Geelong plenty of times in our Dynasty.
