Dogs get back to marvel, but missing some major players.
Going to be a big challenge with the tough swans.

Interesting this one swans in a way has to win this to prove they can win at marvel.

Got the swans to claim a sculp and mark themselves as flag fav.

Swans by 3 points in a real tight one.

What was an must watch game two weeks, is now an excuse to choose my family over football for one night

Sydney took it right up to Hawthorn without Heeney and Gulden a few weeks back. There's no reason the Dogs can't do the same this week with a handful out. They play much better football at Marvel generally, and Sydney generally don't turn in their best performances there.

Lobb as a full time ruck (if he's fit to play) and Busslinger into the defence would be a good call.

Anyone know what is wrong with Bont? It doesn’t look like he has been moving freely over the last couple of weeks

Both he and Richards are sore, but i’m not sure I excuse them if they don’t impact based on it. They are good enough to work through it.

Absolutely no idea how this will play out. Imo we were never going to beat Hawthorn or Geelong, margins blew out further than hoped.

Bev to use the underdog, backs against the wall story this week. Doggies by 14 points.

You need to check that.

I actually think this game will be closer than most people think.

I went to the scratch match earlier in the year when these two teams met and the Dogs put up a good fight with most their gun players rested due to SOO duties.

We were at full strength and they pushed us all game, I’ll be happy with a 1 point win to be honest.

Luck has been on our side so far with their injuries/outs - these are the type of wins that we just need to bank. Similar to the Brisbane game a few rounds ago.

Let's see...the Dogs already shaky defence has now lost O'Donnell, who has been one of their most important pillars up back. Sydney are the best at moving the ball end to end, if they get that going it's going to get ugly.

Only way I see the Dogs holding them back is absolutely mauling them in the middle and their forward 50, but I don't see that. Every single forward in the Dogs is unperforming - even Darcy was. Naughton is going to have to kick at least 5 or 6, not the 1 or so he's been averaging. West will need 3 and their mids will need to make the difference.

Swans by 60

Naughton is third in the Coleman and averaging three goals a game.

I'm taking their performances at the SCG. They are typically playing disgracefully poor sides at Marvel - like St Kilda, NM, Essendon and Carlton. There's been a fair share of mediocre performances against that level of opposition.
SCG ???? Who else can they beat at Marvel ????? You've just named the Stadiums tenants ? You can only beat who you are drawn to play. Facts are they pretty much have a winning record there. What constitutes more than a mediocre performance when you have actually won the game ? Do you need to flog these disgracefully poor sides ( your words not mine ) by 100+ to make it a good win ? Btw disgracefully poor is a bit harsh.

Wolfgang West you butchered the quote function there so I have to reply this way.

I said their performances at Marvel in recent years been nothing special, once you factor in quality of opposition. Whether the Bulldogs in their current funk are above that level remains to be seen. Something closer to their best would be a big step up on the other teams I mentioned. It really wasn't meant to offend you or anything.
