Fasolo in a pub fight?

There’s still like 8 weeks til the season proper, someone should tell them to pace themselves

If Cripps goes... aye carumba

It’s becoming the season from hell for them

They also have Philllips who they will select as no.1 ruck ahead of either Lobbe or Casboult.

Phillips can hold his own in the ruck contests but has limited involvement in general play.

The issue is that Kreuzer, unlike most of their other injuries, is a walk up start for them and one of their A graders.

Injuries or interrupted pre-seasons to depth or fringe players can hurt you for sure. But not when you have your best 22 available.

Docherty and Kreuzer are best 22 for Carlton all day every day.
Best 6

Marchbank is best 22
High hopes for Williamson best 22.

The issue Carlton face is even if fringe best 22 like Lang Jones Pickett Fasolo get injuried it exposes young talent not ready.
16 on their list have played 20 or less games.

Agreed Marchbank is in their best 22. I quite like him and the issue for Carlton is depth and the lack of a ready replacement, as you say.

Williamson is a HBF that to his credit, grabbed his chance with both hands when he got an opportunity. He shows promise as a hbf but I’m far convinced he’ll transition into a good midfielder. Maybe on a wing, but not at clearances.

Just my views, but when you lose a hbf like Smith it leaves a hole. Williamson.... not so much. Shows promise but...

Fasolo is one of those guys I reckon can look great in a good team. He does have ability. But in a poor team like Carlton I’m not sure he’s a great fit. Just my opinion, maybe he turns out great for them.

All I’m saying is their injury crisis is overblown. The issue you correctly identify is their lack of depth.

I wasn't thinking midfield for Williamson.
With Docherty gone I think they pinned their hopes he could slot into HBF.
So it's a bit like Smith going down and maybe a Milera or Seedsman following
If they have to put someone like Murphy there then the midfield gets weaker which is already light on.
I agree about Fasolo. I think he's similar to many of their cheap mature busts.
Similarly if Plowman or Jones aren't available not a big deal but on top of Marchbank it compounds pretty badly because either Casboult 😀 goes back or McGov or someone with less than 20 games.

The lack of depth means they have to depend on very young players, play spuds or rob Peter to pay Paul

These youngsters who will now have to step in may end up good players but it is very possible that this year is a bit early hence why they may really struggle and finish bottom 2

Taken from the Carlton board :

And Grotto Snotto is having a field day over on the Adelaide board ,thinks it's a great joke that we have onother injury!!What a shit stain of a human being ..

LOL ...nice. Good to see we are already under their skin...just wait till the footy starts.
They should really direct their disappointment towards SOS....he's the idiot that sold the farm.

I particularly liked the post from that brutiloops fella having a crack at us for restricting the thread and yet they’ve got thread paying out Essendon that’s restricted.

But in case they are missing posting on here, I’ll give them some Carlton posts:

“Just because we’ve been shit for 15 years, doesn’t mean we will be shit this year.”

“You can’t predict where Carlton will finish, but I predict we will win 8 games”

Rinse and repeat.

Geez, surely Carlton have had enough injuries to deal with this pre-season without their players getting their arms broken in pub fights! At least Fasolo didn’t try and tell them he did it playing with his dog! :D

Irony for all those Carlton campaigners is that I am relishing getting their picks this year. I have not said a single negative comment about Fasolo.

Thats delicious, Public Enemy Number 1.

Enjoying that this injury affects Carltons season. Its still injury trolling.

Well we can't control their injuries. But clearly the more they have the less likely they are to win games which benefits us. I understand your point but the world has much bigger issues.

Carlton's season is absolutely directly proportional to the success we will have off season in recruiting.

It will give us either the best kid or one of the top 5 best kids in the country, Luko and or Rankine.

Off topic but can't help but feel an untimely injury prevented him from playing a lot more games for the Aussie side. He would well appreciate the potential consequences of injury.

Cripps is the key to their spoon aspirations.

Lose Cripps, the Spoon is theirs for the taking and Pick 1 is delivered in a bow to the AFC courtesy of SOS.

Being real here, having Cripps isn't going to save Carlton from the spoon. After all, he put in an elite season in 2018...

They won’t beat the dogs
Yea I believe they will Struggle to beat GC now. And if Hannerbrry get his shit together for the Saints, My first generous prediction of 6 wins is looking way off. Their first win could come in round 18 against GC at Marvel. maybe 2-3 win total.

They won’t win 6. It’s a top 2 pick for us.

If GC can roll them at home, then Pick 1 is ours.

Genuinely believe the programming of GC fixture last year was a contributing factor to their season.
