He and Gil didn’t get their way with as many rule changes as they like for AFL so have absolutely unloaded all their pent up frustration on this.

It’s meant to represent AFL and to try to take the game overseas on a smaller field but is absolutely nothing like AFL.

Other rule changes and adaptations include:

• Each team will have 14 players: eight on the field, six on the interchange bench (no interchange limit), up from the 10 players per side in 2018.

Still baffled why they are against state of origin because “players are more prone to injury”, then they go and trot out this shit where you’re just as likely to do a knee but have no real idea what you’re actually playing to achieve..

If you’re going to play games before the regular season there needs to be an element of pride attached to the matches. JLT isn’t too bad as you’re still representing your club. This Bolt and Rampage shit is laughable. Scrap AFLX and the JLT and just play 5 rounds of SOO. Could even just do 20 or 15 minute flat quarters if they’re so worried about the players..

The whole thing is pretty bad. They probably spent a lot on it last year, and now are trying to justify that it wasn't a really stupid idea by persisting with it.

No idea what the goal is really. Why make a not very interesting sport that has none of the good stuff from Aussie Rules to try to make people who know nothing about Aussie Rules love it?

Nobody thinks about State Of Origin beyond typing the words. Victoria wins. There is no contest. It made perfect sense before the AFL formed, but it's pointless now. People need to learn to let it go.
You can say whatever you want about AFLX, but it's something different, the best players will be involved and it only takes up one day of the AFL calendar.
