The AFL Players' Association is set to name and shame the fan behind the racially motivated attack on Adelaide star Eddie Betts.
Betts, who has been the target of racism from fans in the past, was again attacked on his personal Instagram account, when a fan commented "monkey see monkey do" on his post from the AFLX.
Following the comment, the Adelaide star received widespread support from the AFL community, particularly from Brownlow Medallist Patrick Dangerfield and fellow indigenous great Shaun Burgoyne.
According to AFLPA CEO Paul Marsh, there is only one way to fully stamp out racism from the game.
"It’s disappointing that you’ve got to resort to this because we don’t know these people but the reality of it is you’re faced with two choices when you see this stuff," Marsh told SEN.
"You either walk past it or you do something about it and we have decided to do something about it. Unfortunately it is name and shame because they are faceless these people.

I understand that the AFLPA shall need to do something to eliminate this blight on the game as it is unacceptable.
The question is so wehat does the AFLPA plan to do in order to avoid the wrong person being targeted on social media and even having personal details released if they aren't the responsible party? Many times previously we have seen the wrong person targeted through similar action and people being left with egg on their face.
I personally think that this is the wrong path to take as it could lead to additional avoidable trouble and incite the same sort of stuff they are trying to eradicate.
